I don’t know what was harder. The marathon or shelling out 7 quid for a pint

I got a message from John this afternoon with a pic of him with his medal. I’m sure he will post it when he gets on the board.

Well done John! Brilliant effort!
Was tough going today. Head wind at several points.
I set off a bit fast and at mile 10 I was finding it hard, even though I’ve ran half marathons comfortably quicker than the pace I was going. Happy I dug in and got the time I was aiming for. Not bad for a first marathon and il be going for sun 2:30 next time out.
Up the clarets

And I’ve absolutely no doubt That you will achieve it. Completely agree about the wind. Took me by surprise certain places.
I saw your placing… Terrific. Well done, James.
PS, that pint looks good!

Well done both of you. I’m exhausted reading about it.

Kudos to both of you.
I was positioned around the Cutty Sark and watched you all come through.
The Marathon is always a great event to police, the atmosphere is incredible.

The company was good especially as he paid for lunch. However, we were badly let down by our batting superstars who are obviously so used to playing bazball they now find County Cricket difficult.

It's a good job I was sitting down when I heard that news... If ever a man worked hard to prove he was proper Yorkshire, it was yon lad when it was his round, or turn to pay for foodBedfordsDad wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 1:55 pmWe are all fine thanks Dan. More wet than sunny !
