Re: Spurs v Burnley match thread
BBC in pre match summary had Sessegnon as a long term injury, but then again it’s the BBC

Re: Spurs v Burnley match thread
Two players in centre midfield who need some game time. One was our player of the year last season.
Re: Spurs v Burnley match thread
Why's that?

I actually think if we don't concede early we could sneak this with a late Lyle winner. I've snuck a tenner on us at 7/1, come on you mighty Clarets

Evening all from a dry but cold night here in Galway .
Never write off the team until the end of the game , i as always live in hope .

Re: Spurs v Burnley match thread
Weak central midfield. Weak central defence. I would expect us to be over run and concede easily.

Re: Spurs v Burnley match thread
If this turns out to be true then it's utterly ridiculous as 5 of those have barely kicked a ball in the first team and we're second bottom of the league! Only makes sense if we're clearing wages to bring in Messi!Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 7:22 pmFrom tonight’s line up, you have to imagine the following are probably on there way out in some capacity this month:
Benson
Obafemi
Cork
Roberts (amazed he’s not playing tonight)
Massengo
Redmond

Never heard him say a bad word about us.
Loved that one v Brentford.
One of Stan's master strokes!

If he's on the way out why on earth would he play?

Is Benson not in the squad due to the rumours of a loan?

Yep - just about to post this.
An extremely uneducated, lazy take.
Re: Spurs v Burnley match thread
Wright talking absolute sh1te about Foster. Independent medical experts have recommended he stays at Burnley but the guy with as much medical knowledge as a gnat states he would have said no South Africa no Burnley, pillock.

Yes ,but now he’s made not what I would call a positive reaction to Lyle not going to Afcon (thought it was a bit naughty really ) suggesting there may be repercussions him turning out for us ,does he not understand how Foster must feel?

Re: Spurs v Burnley match thread
Looking forward to see how that line up does.
Good chance to see if Cullen, Ramsay and Zoroury play well enough to still be considered a key part of our survival bid.

Re: Spurs v Burnley match thread
3 posts all saying the same thing,if Lyle Foster sees that how’s he going to feel, someone needs to have a quiet word with Wright to get him to withdraw it.

Massively trivialised his issues, referred to the fact that their other striker is injured making them even more dependent on Lyle... even gave the 'I can't see why he wouldn't want to go and play at AFCON for his country, I know that I would' b0llocks.

Wright now saying that Burnley need to get Foster in the team. One minute he has him on Safari the next he’s lining up against Spurs.Sheedyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 7:52 pmThem lets himself down by saying foster should of gone to play for his country despite his health issues..prat
