I would not trade all the defeats for our wins in 59/0 and 1973 Charity Shield. Obviously the 59/60 win was massive and the 73 win was pretty special. Also the 5-2 win in City’s relegation season was most enjoyable. I was at all 3 of those games and no
Defeat however large can take them away.

I didn’t ‘leave our football club “ not that it is any of your business if I did. I left the UK which had become unrecognizable under the governments of that time. Your posting is weird in the extreme

Sorry FCBurnley, and with the greatest of respect, leaving our football club seaped in such history, is one that few of us would even contemplate.......especially for America.

But how many of those were serious Burnley fans ?......Come on FCBurnley, tell us how difficult it was to decide never to visit the Turf again ?......Again no disrespect.

Not difficult at all when all Burnley games are shown live world wide and especially in America. Times change. Life is for living. How you decide to live it is your call.

Fair play, each to their own.

We're 0-2 down at half-time on a typical Lancashire night, by the way.....Million miles from Florida.

It seems that several posters on here have done just that, and then some of them come back on here professing to be the font of all knowlege on Burnley Football Club.

Despite now living thousands of miles away from the club they would have us believe that their "support from afar" is still as strong as anyone who travels the length and breadth of England on a regular basis following the Clarets.

Woe betide anyone on this message board who doesn't agree with their opinions on their 'beloved Burnley FC'!

Embarassing comments, if you stay in Burnley for the sole reason of watching the football club then you really should sort out your priorities.

People learn a lot more by going living in different places around the world than just going through the same routine over and over again of watching Burnley at Turf Moor. I have spent a lot of time abroad and especially in recent times its very easy to watch games so just because you might travel the length and breadth of England please dont think this means you have any more knowledge than someone who's living in Australia for example.

Embarrassing for who exactly?
Are you embarrassed on someone elses behalf?

I have my priorities sorted thankyou very much.
I have visited over 40 countries in every continent of the world in my lifetime but have never let that interfere with my "same routine of over and over again watching Burnley at Turf Moor".

You only have to read some of the posts on here to realise that a lot of people have less knowledge of football than they think.

Going to Turf Moor obviously isn't as much as a priority for you as it is for me, and that's fair enough.

Anyway what is wrong exactly with 'staying in the Burnley area for the sole reason of watching football'?

What does Mrs Targetman think about your lifestyle or does she also want to stay in Burnley for the SOLE reason of watching football ?

I obviously dont know anything about your lifestyle or even your marriage, if indeed you are married, but to answer your question........
Mrs Targetman has lived in the Rossendale Valley all of her life and loves to do so, she also enjoys the lifestyle that she lives with her husband.

Hope that is a satisfactory reply to your concern for my marriage.

I miss being able to go to games, but have no regrets about leaving the UK. I'm not from Burnley anyway. I don't post about games and the team, or rarely anyway, as I'm not very knowledgeable, especially about tactics and formations etc.

The problem here is with watching games is the time difference and my daily routine. In terms of games being available it's great this season - every game live for around 50 quid a year. Replays and highlights whenever you want too. Sadly, next season, in the championship (most likely) there won't be anuwhere near as many games on.
