Thread for tonight?
Re: Thread for tonight?
I'm heartily sick to the back teeth of our lily livered cowardly approach, hopeless team selection and tactics.

Re: Thread for tonight?
We have to taking chances like that
Re: Thread for tonight?
We had some drubbings over the years and fans have come on this board and said they were proud of the players and rightly so ,this lot should walk home ,no effort,no pride, not fit to wear the shirt.

Re: Thread for tonight?
A few goals against Israel, Moldova, Andorra and whoever else is in their Euros qualifying group isn't much to write home about.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:33 pmI wouldn't assume it's anything to do with resale value.
Amdouni scores at international level. We are just not good enough to set up real chances for a player like him on anything like a regular basis.
He's just nowhere near what you need from a forward in the PL. Horrific signing for the price.

Amdouni with no composure. Absolute story of his season right there
Re: Thread for tonight?
Massive cha ce Amdouni who blasts over instead of passing
Re: Thread for tonight?
Amdouni...Switzerlands answer to Lionel Messi.

The worst of both worlds. Struggling to defend and not taking the chances we actually get.

Another one we keep being gaslit about how great he's gonna be in 5 years or some ********, whilst we have to endure the worst ever Burnley season for some ****** up reason.alwaysaclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:39 pmShould have been a very easy save imo, was clear and obvious it was going in that bottom corner, but for some unknown reason Trafford caught wrong footed and beaten again, when the hell is kompany going to see some sense.

31 goals without reply against CIty. Just shows how pathetic we really are to have a stat like that against any team.

Re: Thread for tonight?
I like Amdouni, but that was woeful, Odobert had a tap in and he didn’t put it on target. But with his skillset if he made correct choices he would be top class and playing for a top 4 club.
City are so good though, near full strength, and they are clearly in the afterburners stage of the season. One positive - we don’t have to play them again (until next season )

Re: Thread for tonight?
Literally zero fight in this team tonight. You can sometimes over analyse footy, but that's it, zero fight tonight.

3-0 down and our subs are hugging and joking with Haaland on the side of the pitch
Re: Thread for tonight?
I'm not seeing a decent player in Amdouni.

He will be playing for a team like Trabzonspor or something in a year or two.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:44 pmI like Amdouni, but that was woeful, Odobert had a tap in and he didn’t put it on target. An odd touch and flick here and there is nowhere near enough for a top 4 club, at all.

Wake up and smell the coffee, they’re the best side in Europe, we’re relegation fodder. Those stats go back to Dyche days too, ain’t **** changed, we need some Arab casb

Like a training match for city, just walking with the ball on the edge of our box.

Soft as **** they are more than happy to fill their bank accounts at the clubs expense. They can all go for me , gutless.
Laughing and smiling while at bottom of the league, hopeless.

We are playing a top four team. In what world does Amdouni even get close to there bench?
I personally think he will be of to Ligue 1
Re: Thread for tonight?
Ramsey?! His subs are baffling I have to say, what has Ramsey done to warrant helping us in a 3 nil down situation

Re: Thread for tonight?
This talk of lack of effort - we were good and pressing till goal 1 then bang, bang 2-0. After that it becomes about Fulham who have 24 hours more rest and not burning ourselves out. Very clever and also the subs being early. Can’t slag them off for that (ignoring that some Rovers fans on here would slate them even after a 6-0 win).

Re: Thread for tonight?
As much as the stats tell you JBG helps defensively and creates the most chances for us, he was terrible everytime he has ball in city half tonight
Re: Thread for tonight?
Dyche also got a draw there and beat them at home with a smaller budget and weaker team.
Maidstone went and won at Ipswich how many levels between them?
We're in the same league as City we should be putting some effort in at least but City are walking around the pitch it's pathetic
