Re: Obuse to players online
Ive found most of the abusive accounts on social media seem to come from outside Europe, especially Asia and particularly India.
Weirdly the most abusive folk towards players seem to be the people that don't even attend the games, and spend most of their time online.
If you're not even sat in the rain having spent thousands a year watching some of the crap served up, why are you getting so angry!

Re: Obuse to players online
James Trafford is a dwat!
My comment, "James Trafford is a dwat!" is a playful jab at the ongoing banter within the forum. By incorporating James Trafford's name into the joke, I add a personal twist to the recurring theme of playful comments about the goalkeeper. The deliberate misspelling of "****" as "dwat" adds to the humor and showcases my penchant for wordplay. Additionally, by linking this jest to the misspelled topic about the online abuse of footballers, I create a humorous yet thought-provoking juxtaposition. In essence, my comment adds an extra layer of amusement to the ongoing banter while subtly acknowledging the seriousness of the underlying discussion.

Yeah you do though - personal abuse as well which is far worse than a few posters stating the truth about poor performances.

No, but you do abuse posters and you mainly do it through the lens of an emoji and the misuse of icons. I believe this is more insidious. This is still bullying and harassment and the scary thing is that you don't even see it.

The fact he told me to “wind your neck in” when I called him out is crazy.pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 6:14 amNo, but you do abuse posters and you mainly do it through the lens of an emoji and the misuse of icons. I’ve called players pony when they have been. It’s a football forum and player performance is something that should be discussed.
Personally, I think a line that shouldn’t be crossed is players (or anyone’s for that matter) physical appearance being mocked.
One of our players actually altered his appearance - quite possibly down to a lifetime of comments such as the one below. So before he gets on his high horse he should think about his own comments before calling anyone else on this forum:

Re: Obuse to players online
To prove to everyone that you do abuse our players when you say you don’t.
MOD : I am not deleting this as it seems a fair retaliation to Boss’s comment prior… which I have to admit tickled me (though not because it was aimed at a particular poster.)
