Re: Simple vote for Kompany to stay or go…no debate
Originally thought Vinny had earned the same opportunity given to Dyche in his first PL season, i.e. another crack at the champ no matter what, but now I think back I kinda' retroactively recognise that was always contingent on watching a team that fights this season like it did last season, which was a reasonable expectation in the early days of this season, but we're far, far worse than we ever were in Dyche's first season, and this squad is too expensive to be blasé about things, so with the regression of the last few months and the absolutely bonkers selections and tactics, I'd say we might as well do it now while there's enough time left for a miracle to happen, rather than putting it off and doing it after a bad start in the championship.

No debate, save that for the other threads.Spiral wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:00 pmOriginally thought Vinny had earned the same opportunity given to Dyche in his first PL season, i.e. another crack at the champ no matter what, but now I think back I kinda' retroactively recognise that was always contingent on watching a team that fights this season like it did last season, which was a reasonable expectation in the early days of this season, but we're far, far worse than we ever were in Dyche's first season, and this squad is too expensive to be blasé about things, so with the regression of the last few months and the absolutely bonkers selections and tactics, I'd say we might as well do it now while there's enough time left for a miracle to happen, rather than putting it off and doing it after a bad start in the championship.

Ask me at the end of the season. Right now I'm not sure. Literally only banking on last seasons goodwill to keep him.

Go. The GK isn't the only League One standard player he's signed. Ruined us. Absolutely ruined the club.

Go if he's gonna play Amdouni and Traff next week.
Stay if he's gonna play Muric & Cullen.

I can't believe the number of people who want him to stay!
What are you watching?
We're not even remotely competitive.

After today, go.
Genuinely think he’s lost the dressing room. The way we started that game was evidence enough.

Go.
Sad, but he's been backed in transfer market, he's built two teams and performances have been poor overall and wasted millions on players. He's been very fortunate that he works at club with patient fans but this season has been unacceptable and I suspect the tide has turned on him now.
Back to basics for me. We need a new manager who gets the club.

Go if we can somehow find the money that's needed to pay him off it's fantasy wishful thinking though.

Travesty turning to tragedy with every week that passes. Begone and go and manage a Belgian schoolgirls team. That's about your level.
