Life - Des'ree

I don't want to see a ghost
It's a sight that I fear most
I'd rather have a piece of toast
And watch the evening news

I give you Little Richard …

Wop bop a loo bop a lop bom bom
Tutti frutti, oh rootie
Tutti frutti, oh rootie
Tutti frutti, oh rootie
Tutti frutti, oh rootie
Tutti frutti, oh rootie
A wop bop a loo bop a lop ba ba
The lyrics may be meaningless (according to Little Richard they are a cleaned up version of his original lyric) but the song is fantastic and really kickstarted Rock and Roll in the 1950s.

I'm sure I once read a quote from Bowie saying he (Bowie) had a habit of cutting up the editorials from magazines and Sunday supplements and rearranging lines until they rhymed or fit the music.
BBC did a docu on him back in his heyday and it showed him doing this on his NY hotel bed.

Is it a light fandango?
Not light, but lightning. And thunderbolts.
