Does anybody have any details on who to contact to enquire about match day parking behind the JH stand and how much it costs?
Looking for next season as my dad recently had a heart attack and finds it difficult to walk from our usual parking spot so looking for somewhere closer

Re: Turf Moor Parking
Sorry to hear about your Dad.
Has he considered applying for a Blue Disability Parking badge?
He can use it in his own car, or it can be used in any car in which he is a passenger.
This would open up a whole lot more parking options not just at Turf but elsewhere.

I'm in Corporate and was offered parking as an 'extra' for £300, though that was last season. I politely declined & didn't even enquire this time.

Re: Turf Moor Parking
Nearly 16 quid a game for parking is insane.
Get a taxi to drop you off at the door and back home for that.

I usually park at the St Mary's church car park which is quite close to the ground and only a fiver.enduroclaret wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 11:03 amSorry to hear about your Dad.

Cricket club could be an option too without breaking the bank?
Re: Turf Moor Parking
Another option could be a transport wheelchair. That's what I did with my mother until she couldn't cope with the cold weather anymore and we moved "indoors" to the hospitality area (with the help of share-sale credits). If he objects to a wheelchair, as a lot of people do, try and persuade him that he isn't only benefitting himself, he is also benefitting his family in that they can go out with him on longer excursions than if he had to walk.wilks_bfc wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 10:58 amDoes anybody have any details on who to contact to enquire about match day parking behind the JH stand and how much it costs?

There will be somewhere to park the chair inside the ground. The club were never particularly well organised, but they were well meaning and somewhere was always found. (The roof of the Bob Lord ladies toilets was one option!)
