so come May teams might be relegated then re-instated !!!
Latest on the fiasco :
"So, we are still heading for a situation where we could have games on the final day of the season and we won't be sure what the bottom of the Premier League looks like because we won't have had the final decisions about these possible points deductions for Everton and Nottingham Forest."

Hypothetically (and it's a stretch because I still don't see us getting enough points), we could be in the position on the last day of us thinking we need a win to stay up, pushing for another goal and losing, when in reality after points deductions we might only have needed to play out a draw with Forest.
What a mess

that has been known as a scenario since the beginning of the season, absolutely nothing new in it - it is one of the reason Nottingham Forest have made such a play about selecting the co-operation fast track route they took, while at the same time firing up the agitation levels in their fans - it is great PR for someone who cheated and then moaned about the ruleskenyon6923 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 1:42 pmLatest on the fiasco :

The Premier league is more corrupt than Blatter rules ignored or in Evertons case manipulated by smart barristers

are you talking about the Premier League - the business, or the Premier League - the members organisation of 20 clubs, each operating at the whim of mostly billionaire owners who are not used to being told "no you cannot do that" and actually have that be the outcome.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 3:57 pmThe Premier league is more corrupt than Blatter rules ignored or in Evertons case manipulated by smart barristers
They are very different things and it is about time that football fans and society as a whole actually understood that

I must admit I haven’t followed the process to the letter as I’m not in the slightest bit interested in it other than how it affects us and to be honest it all bores me and is predictable.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 3:57 pmThe Premier league is more corrupt than Blatter rules ignored or in Evertons case manipulated by smart barristers
My take though the Clubs voted the rules in and the Premier league has followed them rules to the letter or we wouldn’t have got to the point of 2 Clubs having points deducted by an independent panel! The Clubs are now moaning about the rules that they themselves voted in or at least agreed too when they got promoted too the prem. They knowingly and willingly broke the rules but are now crying fouls as they didn’t expect anyone to follow through on it. The only part that was wrong was the independent panel process issues with Everton that they got 4 points back for.

Fat chance of that happening in this country CB.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 4:02 pmare you talking about the Premier League - the business, or the Premier League - the members organisation of 20 clubs, each operating at the whim of mostly billionaire owners who are not used to being told "no you cannot do that" and actually have that be the outcome.

I think if either a) Forest are relegated and would have been even with their points back, or b) Forest are safe despite their points deduction, the punishment will stand.
It'll be interesting if Forest go down but a 2 or 3 point deduction would have seen them safe.
(unless there's already mutterings about reducing the points deduction prior to then on appeal?)
