Pubs around the train station are generally fine and in walking distance to the ground.

For those driving there is a large secure car park on Milton Street (5 mins walk to ground) used it last season, costs a fiver, good getaway after the match as well.

Anyone used the tram system in Sheffield? There is a large park and ride at Middlewood. Its not far off Hillsborough on the road in and looks a good option perhaps? Saves driving right in.

I had a look at parking at Meadow Hall shopping centre one year.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:40 pmAnyone used the tram system in Sheffield? There is a large park and ride at Middlewood. Its not far off Hillsborough on the road in and looks a good option perhaps? Saves driving right in.
Trams and trains go into Sheffield from there.
I never used it in the end though, so you would have to look into it

Not sure which is the closest tram stop to Bramall Lane but I doubt it can be far away. The line goes up the hill to the Uni from there then back down the hill onto Penistone Road. Decent option.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:40 pmAnyone used the tram system in Sheffield? There is a large park and ride at Middlewood. Apparently around a quarter of an hour walk - Granville Road (Sheffield College)ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:28 pmNot sure which is the closest tram stop to Bramall Lane but I doubt it can be far away. Will be getting the train and heading to The Howard (great name) opposite the station and then it’s about a 20 min walk to the away end.

Not a bad idea that, easier getting train from Meadowhall, it’s only one stop into centre. My local train on Penistone line calls in there, quite a few others do too. Easier than working out tram routes.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:55 pmI had a look at parking at Meadow Hall shopping centre one year.

Re: 2023/24: Sheffield United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Just jumping on this since there's no general info thread.
Off peak day return Burnley - Sheffield (changing in Leeds) £23.60, or X43 to Manchester £4 (£3 if they're still doing the £1 after 7pm fares), and then return train tickets Manchetser - Sheffield can be picked up for around £20.
