Rovers Trust Write Open Letter to Venkys.
(Lancs Telegraph)
The natives are not happy down Deadwood.
Phrases like "gradual decline" and "not engaging with the fans" are being bandied about.
Other parts of the letter:
"The last ten years have seen a gradual but confusing decline in the fortunes of BRFC, despite large infusions
of money from Venkys London Limited.
To get promoted back to the Premier League, successful clubs are always well-run, professionally managed and
co-ordinated from top to bottom."
"Once again, this season has ended in disappointment with the team severely underachieving on the field. Since
our relegation, we have never made the top six, and on one embarrassing occasion were relegated to the
third tier a scenario unthinkable prior to your takeover."
"We would be grateful for your observations.... and early opportunities to meet in a suitably safe location."
There's gratitude for you...never mind the £200 million or so they've pumped into the place.
I can't help thinking that the timing of this is pretty poor, what with India in turmoil with Covid.
They've probably got more on their minds than the goings-on down Bolton Road....

“The gradual decline”
Hahaha oh what short memories they have! Their decline was swift and spectacular and hilariously self-induced.
The truth is they’ve actually stabilised somewhat over the past 2-3 seasons.

Well! if they think times are hard now, imagine how dire their situation would be if the Venkys decided to cut their losses.
They enjoyed the success under Jack Walker, and now they've reverted to their normal station as a medium 2nd tier club they can't handle it, and what really rubs it in for them is our continued tenure as a PL club.
Remind me again how long is it since they beat us, it must be coming up to 11 years if not longer.

Hopefully it will wind the Venkys up and they walk away. Then they will see decline and realise how much they were reliant on them...

Dear Venky's
Please ignore the public health crisis currently ripping through your country and meet up with us so we can tell you why the millions you pump into our poxy football club to keep it afloat isn't enough for us.

The bloody cheek of it!! How much money have Venky’s chucked at Rovers over the last few years? And they’re not happy? They could well have gone bust without the millions invested for no return.....
Re: Rovers Trust Write Open Letter to Venkys.
If I were Venkys I would tell them they are welcome in Pune any time.

Dear Rovers Trust
Thank you for your recent letter. Those of your members who can read will appreciate that things are a bit tricky here in India at present so please forgive the brevity of our response.
Whilst acknowledging that some mistakes were made early in our tenure, including not researching the word " Relegation " in the Concise Oxford Dictionary, we are proud of our unstinting efforts so far. Despite the treatment of our family on our last visit, we have continued our annual funding of your festering turd of a Football Club. Even prior to the recent global " un-pleasantness ", this money-pit was operating at a loss of £400,000 a week which we have covered ... this amount is hardly " chicken-feed ", ( No pun intended ).
The lack of support from the people of Blackburn & Darwen for their local Club lead us to believe that at least 2/3rds of the fan base are fair-weather, Premier League Glory Hunters. You should be grateful that it is only our stubborn Indian sense of pride, that has kept us from calling in KPMG and consigning the name of Blackburn Rovers to a footnote in the history books !
May the fleas of 1,000 Camels infest your ......

They've clearly been putting money into the club, the actual amount is closer to £200 million, but they write some off every so often

I think this will refer to the phrase "not engaging with the fans."
As I recall, the last time they tried to, Mrs Desai's husband copped a snowball in the mush.

The World is ravished with a deadly disease and all that they can think about is themselves. There's gratitude and dedication for you
It'll all work out well in the end. Another relegation, Venkys do one and Rovers scuttle off into obscurity

This could well rile the Venkys to the point where they just cut and run . They must know they will never recover their losses. Unless it suits them for some obscure reason to run up losses. Interesting to see if they react.

They don't seem interested in blackburn or football in general,
they are losing millions on a product that at best is standing still
and the fans of said product hate them, why are they still hanging
around, am i missing something?

They should start boycotting again next season. The last one went a bit wrong when they drew Man Utd in the cup.

In the faint hope they do go up and they can recover some of their losses, I imagine. They call it chasing your losses in gambling.

Mr Venky: Eh, another football letter again.
Mrs Venky: AGAIN? Why does everyone keep sending so much spam?
Mr Venky: More stuff to wipe our asses with I guess.
Mrs Venky: Save the Lidl one though. Sometimes they're an interesting read.
