Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
Will we finally declare once Bohannon gets his ton and Lamb his 50.
50 for Lamb.
The 5th Lancashire batsman to pass that landmark in this innings.

A ton for Bohannon time to stick them in now. If Yorkshire bat as poorly 2nd time around it could even all be over today.

Danny Lamb's 50 is eclipsed by his sister who has scored a ton for North-West Thunder in the Rachel Heyhoe-Flint Trophy.

Lance declare .... 350 lead.... Bohannon unbeaten 127...... as a reminder Yorkshire 159 all out.
The dustbin finally got a wicket, but looked about as threatening as a traffic cone.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
33 runs off 22 plus overs in York’s second innings. That is embarrassingly slow even by Yorkshire standards. Guess entertainment is not in the game plan and let’s not forgot who won the toss and elected to bat !!!!

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
A couple of big scalps just before the close for Lancs, that opening stand was becoming frustrating, but 2 back in the hutch now, and don't forget Yorkshire have a long tail in this game due to some major absences.
I now think they'll bat out the day tomorrow and rag a draw. (that should jinx them now)

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
Parky finally coms to the party, he and Mahmood will hold the key, that was a stunning spell of pace bowling by Mahmood in the 2st hour this morning, and he certainly deserved his 2 wickets.
After Northants wrapped up their victory earlier Lancs could really do with winning this just to create some breathing space for ourselves, meanwhile if Yorks lose suddenly they'll be looking over their shoulders at a Northants team on a roll.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
208-6 at tea and this pair of Bess and Duke are proving a nuisance, so much so that Vilas has turned to Luke Wells for inspiration, well you can't say he's not trying different things to bring a wicket that's for sure.
I guess Bailey & Mahmood will be unleashed post tea in the hope of one or both striking, but Yorkshire slowly edging towards ragging a draw out of this which would be totally unmerited on the 4 days we've seen.

Yorks have battled through the pain point here, and despite never being in the game, deserve their draw.

I agree. Outstanding from Yorkshire: wonderful batting display. To be honest, they look as though they could bat right through with their eyes closed.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
I'm not sure there's more they can tactically do. The pitch has just died, and there's not a lot in it, for a team that's just dug in, with no intention of going anywhere.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
Well hopefully I'm eating my words shortly... But lobbing it into the rough from both ends doesn't do it for me... Especially from Livingston who is a pretty limited wrist spinner.
Variety needed.

At last... Mahmood strikes... I fear we wasted too many overs before bringing him on.

Mahmood's 5th of the innings, and he's the one bowler who's looked threatening on this final day, so give him the bloody ball and let him do his stuff.

Get in Parky... Brilliant win. Well done boys.
You can see what it means to the Lanky lads. not too much disappointment on the Cockney and Kolpak faces at the end....... they don't get it. Mercenaries.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
Parky wraps it up, it got hairy in that last hour, but a comprehensive innings victory in the end that cements Lancs place at the top of the group, Yorkshire clinging onto 2nd by the narrowest of margins a mere 2 points clear of Northants, and in danger of missing out on qualifying altogether.

Re: Lancashire vs Cockney Glory Hunting Kolpaks
An innings and 79 runs says it all, Yorks were first outbowled then outbatted until they finally decided to turn up and play on the last day. Mahmood in a different class to the medium pacers on display, a Test quality bowler makes all the difference.
