I'm in LA and the local Crows had their annual meeting on Wednesday.......Hundreds of them flying around in circles cawing like mad.minnieclaret wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 6:52 pmI’m sure there’s a film in there somewhere.
The meadow had just been cut and there were many more than those.

Walking in the Comeragh mountains today. Far too hot for this old man but we summited. I'd never done the Northern end of the Comeragh before and it was outstanding. I will be back.

Swallows and House Martins also, have massive fleas on them.
When I've seen films of the couple interacting, they have specialist communication between each other and they evidence clear knowledge of detail close up and can manipulate materials to a craftsman specialist level.
They can catch insects of any kind with ease and yet they don't preen each other of parasites.
It's baffling.

... And what do those fleas do when there being wizzed around in aerial battles beyond the ken of the human eye at speeds of over 100 mph at 10,000 feet.

Re: Spring Photographs
Yesterday was a fantastic day on the Saltees, in County Wexford, trying to capture the ever industrious seabirds with some clinical and some artistic photograrphy, as they work hard to build and repair nests, fish to feed their young, and fight for territory. If you could bottle the energy that they have, the world would be a better place.
Here is 1 photo, of many people's favourite bird, the puffin, in full breeding refinery, with a fantastic haul of glistening sand eels, showing off their magnificent silvery, rainbow colouring.
