Re: Today's Games
Not as bad as Germany's. another for Ronaldo 107 for him now, and he'll more than likely break the all time record before this tournament's out.

Looks like a nukeproof bunker.
What ARE the Germans upto???
The Technical area of one of the dug outs lifts up to allow access to the tunnel which is below pitch level as in a lot of stadiums. It's quite a clever little touch I think. Saw it in action at the 2006 World Cup Finals and was quite impressed with the German ingenuity!.

Re: Today's Games
Don’t know who is on VAR but Germany’s second looked offside at first viewing. The pass down the left wing from Rudiger, the widman looked off.
Comms have just said Stuart Attwell on VAR so he probably was off.

Re: Today's Games
I was at Dusseldorf for the Euro ‘88 game against Holland. The pitch was in an athletics track and the players emerged from underground behind one of the goals. Must be a German thing.aclaretinstevenage wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 5:31 pmThe Technical area of one of the dug outs lifts up to allow access to the tunnel which is below pitch level as in a lot of stadiums. Re: Today's Games
When Germany go through transition from defence to attack, they end up with four and often 5 in the opponent's penalty area. When was the last time England did that? (Or Burnley for that matter).

Good game to watch.
Never write off a German side.
England might come back from yesterday's crap showing like that.

That's the frustration for me, the players are more than capable of playing that way but are set up to play like scared little boysBuxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 6:55 pmGood game to watch.

Re: Today's Games
Now that Germany-Portugal game showed that international football can be exciting, game of the tournament so far by a long way, and Germany look a threat it has to be said.
Havertz excellent again, and that goal will do his confidence a world of good.

Yes it's not looking good for Poland, and Lewandowski has been incredibly quiet so far by his normal high standards.
