Has a bit of a late 80s early 90s vibe. Very good

Re: Home kit unveiled
I really like it. Hope it looks as good in real life as it does in these pics.
I also like the fact that the sponsor logo isn't absolutely massive.
Well done Umbro and the club.

I hope the 2nd and 3rd are as nice. Looks great.

Re: Home kit unveiled
Best kit since 2009. Like an amalgamation of kits from 85-92. Hopefully we don’t play like that.
Re: Home kit unveiled
The shirt is really nice, but spoilt with blue shorts and socks. Should be white.

Should always be white shorts at home but I’ll take a season like the last time we had blue shorts and socks for home games.
Re: Home kit unveiled
Now I do like that shirt ...
Re: Home kit unveiled
That’s a nice looking kit.
Well done BFC and Umbro.

Re: Home kit unveiled
Umbro definitely got a theme in the style here this was posted on the other kit thread very similar design (apart from colours obvs )
Re: Home kit unveiled
Put me down as a ‘not sure’. Not keen on the arm pattern shenanigans.

Nice top, pity it’s still being made by Asda.

Re: Home kit unveiled
Instant impression is that I like that. It's way from the norm of plain claret / blue, but not too jazzy. Clean, white SpreadEx logo, no red in it is another tick from me.
I prefer white shorts personally... not fussed though.
Set us apart from Aston Villa and West Ham in style too.
I'm a fan.

Really like the kit and the sponsor doesn’t ruined it for once
Re: Home kit unveiled
I agree about the sponsors logo being less obtrusive.
I don’t suppose there is picture of the long sleeve version yet is there.

Thumbs up from me
Re: Home kit unveiled
First kit in a decade or 2 that I've looked at and thought "that's quite smart"
It's a yes from me.
Quite looking forward to the away ones now.

Re: Home kit unveiled
Blue socks and shorts is stupid
Re: Home kit unveiled
Not too sure about that, it looks like a womans scarf across the shoulders
Re: Home kit unveiled
Nice top. White shorts and socks would be better. As it has full blue sleeves and not the chopped off ones from last season my son can have one ! It will go with his white shirts and socks.

Re: Home kit unveiled
Hhmmm!
Don't like the sleeves pattern, Sponsors logo much better than that Chinese squiggle. Not too fussed about blue shorts and socks.
All in all it's OK no more than that.

Re: Home kit unveiled
Had a look at it on the official site and now I know it’s got a ‘micro eyelet back panel to wick away sweat’ I’m a definite fan.
Re: Home kit unveiled
I’ve not bought a short in years but I think il get this one
Re: Home kit unveiled
The sleeves are horrible
Re: Home kit unveiled
I like the fact that the sponsor's logo is less obtrusive than in previous years. And I also like the majority of the shirt including the collar.
The jazzy sleeves however have for me stopped this shirt being one that I would buy.

Re: Home kit unveiled
Nice shirt, a bit different. The colours look a bit away from our usual mind you (darker main and lighter sleeves) but I'll wait until the 2nd/3rd come out before choosing which to go for
Shame most of the people who like it won't be buying it according to the sponsor thread

Re: Home kit unveiled
Agree with that.
Also agree with the people in the white socks and shorts camp - it's what I grew up with so heavily influenced by that, probably similar to how people who grew up with hooped socks really like those.

As the washer of my sons kit I’m a big fan of blue socks and shorts!

Re: Home kit unveiled
I thought this was Umbro’s last year as kit supplier? Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case
“Over the next four seasons, Umbro will continue to produce all official Burnley playing kits, from the men’s and women’s first team, to youth and schoolboy level, as well as training products and leisurewear for players and supporters”.

Re: Home kit unveiled
The sleeve colour of blue doesn't seem to match the badge.
Not into blue shorts either.
Verdict: not sure yet.

Re: Home kit unveiled
There are about four different shades of blue on the sleeves, one of them must match surely!

Re: Home kit unveiled
A child in the 70’s but I love the hooped socks. Having worn out my Puma socks was hoping for a return this season, but guessing it wouldn’t happen I’ve ordered a teams worth (14 pairs) that will be this years winter wear.the_fat_shearer wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 12:42 pmAgree with that.

Love the shirt body, great to see the return of a proper claret, need to see the sleeves in the flesh before I decide if they’ve spoilt their good work with the sleeves though.

They had this nice little detail posted to Twitter but then pulled the image down. Don't know what to read into that.

Plain sleeves, different sponsor and the old badge and we are looking at the 1982/83 Spall shirt after we won the third division.....

Jazzy, but I really like them!
Will definitely be buying this one (obviously when it goes half price at Xmas, I’m not made of money!)

Re: Home kit unveiled
It’s a shocker.
Dont like raglan sleeves and the sleeves are too busy for me. Blue shorts and socks? No thanks. I’d prefer white shorts and hooped socks but I’d settle for white shorts and white socks.
All in all, I’m completely underwhelmed.
This season, I will mostly be wearing, my Peter Noble ‘V’ shirt.

Re: Home kit unveiled
I think it’s a really nice kit overall!
They’ve been sitting on these for awhile. Vyds, Woody, and McNeil without his right arm tattooed all give it away. The folks saying the shirt had been done for awhile were right!
