Strongest team available maybe Cork for Brownhill arguably.

Sort of my thoughts when I saw the starting eleven - obviously Pope & Vydra to come back into the reckoning soon along with Wood

Wouldn't have expected Vyds to play as he is behind the rest in his pre season.

Good point on Pope CT !

If that’s the starting eleven vs Brighton we are in a seriously bad spot.

Do we have any indication of when Wood, Pope will be back in contention?

It probably won't be but if it was I wouldn't be so concerned in the context of that particularly game.

Ok thanks.

Has anything been mentioned about refunds for people who paid in advance to supposedly watch the Forest game?
I haven't seen anything regarding this, unless I have missed it?

The Olympics will determine when we might have Wood back. Last I heard I think Pope does have a chance of being fit for the start of the season.

Pope would be a big boost.
I honestly don’t see us scoring without Wood in the team. I guess the only good thing is Wood has been playing competitive football so should be sharp when he is back.

Woody isn't going to need a pre-season when he gets back, should be ready to go very quickly.

Let's hope Barnes can perform today. Needs his sharpness back if he's going to be in contention for Brighton.

Jees - do you want me to see if I can score you some Valium? You “honestly don’t see us scoring without Wood”.

He’s a miss of course he is, but we do have three other strikers who have all shown that they can score at this level.

It’s not exactly an out there statement. The strikers you mentioned scored a combined 7 goals across the whole of last season.

I'd just seen it had gone to pens but then received a phone call I had to take. I'd have liked to have seen him get a gold medal but from a selfish point of view we'll be getting him back now.

He’ll get a good 14-15 hours on the flight from Tokyo to Manchester. How much more does he need?

So we obviously can score without Wood.

I know we naturally look back on the previous season at performances etc. but in this instance, with everything that went on, I think that less weight can be applied to 20/21.

We’re writing players off based on a season that followed a short break, covid, injuries and no fans.

It's a solid if not spectacular line up and would probably be OK against the majority of the lower sides.

Yes that’s your view of things and that’s fair enough.

I am looking at it from the point of view that this team is the oldest in the league and they struggled last season. With no improvement to the starting eleven and a year older, I think the team is now worse than last year. I think without our main goal threat we will struggle to lay a glove on Brighton (if that team today is the one we will play against Brighton)

At the very least Wood will be on the bench as he's fully match fit.

It is and the only referee I've seen ruin a pre-season game. That was at Preston four years ago.

Dyche love child seems to be getting a run in team after injury.
Looks like a certain starter against Brighton.

Whether or not we sign someone else before the season starts, I’d be surprised if, whoever that may be, they go straight into the starting line up. It’s not usually Dyche’s way.

Will you effing forget last season. It was horrendous for all clubs. Barnes and JRod never got match fit and just filled in when necessary.
They have had a full pre-season and match minutes. We would miss Wood but not to the extent that you imply.
Please go and have a lie down in a dark room. Gloom and doom is all you know. I better your a thrill at parties.

This appeared on the club website: "Information regarding supporters who bought a match pass for a streaming of the game will follow."

Why don't they just make refunds?
