Re: Maxwell Cornet
Looked very comfortable and the thing I noticed was he looked effective with both feet.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
I say he will start against Rochdale and score as well .
Re: Maxwell Cornet
Look quality. Won headers, corners, free kicks and good positioning along with quality ball control. He was thinking a bit ahead of his team mates at times. Wish I’d seen him play for 90mins.
Re: Maxwell Cornet
Has to start from here, simple.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
if we stay in the division I would say the future looks very bright for us if he's the type of talent we will be attracting. This season is huge

As soon as I saw him taking his top off I said that him coming on would lift the place and it definitely did. Some really good stuff from him too.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
Max will be MOTM , wait and see
Re: Maxwell Cornet
Dyche got it wrong when he brought Cornet on and switched Cornet and McNeil, Cornet likes to cut in and shot McNeil likes to cut in and cross, both couldn't do that on their wrong wing's, it should be Cornet right McNeil left all day.
Re: Maxwell Cornet
Cornet is naturally left footed. Judging by how well he did I'd say Dyche made the right call.

He did OK. Certainly lifted the support. Looks to have a decent touch and going from youtube vids a decent tackle. Should start but needs a while to a acclimatise.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
A brilliant debut. Looked like a complete player with that added touch of class. One of his first touches he played a lovely ball through into the box, the crowd did kind of a "woah" sound, really loud, like he did something unexpected. If he continues to have games with quality like we saw today, we're in for a treat with him.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
Looked a class act , all over the park and he’ll no doubt be a starter . The difference with MC and JBG is huge and shows both the type of players we need and the junk we need to clear
Re: Maxwell Cornet
The point is McNeil can't play on the right, he can't cross from that side

Re: Maxwell Cornet
But is he Dyche fit ? Will he track back to prevent a goal and protect a 0-0 ? Will he come on to protect a one nil win instead of making it 2-0 ?

Re: Maxwell Cornet
Looked like he wanted to make positive moves both on and off the ball. Dyche will soon coach that out of him

I agree Taylor and McNeil need to play on the same side, with two wingers that can attack and Vydra up front with Wood we will more exciting to watch

Looked class.
Slightly worrying that there were a few occasions that he didn’t track back (will Dyche trust him enough to play 90 minutes?) but otherwise very good.
Atmosphere when he came in was great.

Good 1st performance.
He certainly lifted the crowd and he added a new dimension to our play. Promising signs.

Shocking how bad he made Gudmundsson look, good players will find space to receive the ball and demand it.
Re: Maxwell Cornet
Just got in ... Maxwell Cornet will become a legend very quickly ... showed a good touch and willingness to fight for the ball ... good to see Westy help him to his feet and praise him ... the lad will fit into this squad very quickly as seen by our lads trying to find him with a pass at every opportunity.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
The dilemma for SD will be where to play both DM and MC . Dwight is nowhere near as effective on the right and works v well with Taylor . As for the excellent looking Cornet he looks good enough to play anywhere. He made JBG look like a pub player

Re: Maxwell Cornet
I’d start with Dwight left and cornet right but Dwight central could work well. Cornet is quite two footed which is useful but the way he drifts in looks more of a right winger to me. Anyway, exciting but we’re gonna have to start winning games at some point.

He did well. Neat and tidy.
I just hope he’s got pace and directness in his locker too, because we’re desperate for something different.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
Enjoy today because what have seen today will soon be coached out of him
Re: Maxwell Cornet
Well for starters he skinned Pepe to get a ball across. JBG hasn’t done that once all season and I don’t think he has it in him anymore.agreenwood wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 7:43 pmDid he? He passed the ball well and won a few tackles.

He's come to the PL.
He will have a relegation clause.
It'll give him some lovely exposure.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
He looked like a proper PL player, we need another 3 or 4 of his quality. As someone said above, let’s hope it doesn’t get coached out of him.
Re: Maxwell Cornet
You’re probably right. We need to enjoy watching him now as could well be one season only.tarkys_ears wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 7:47 pmHe's come to the PL.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
He fair effortlessly glides across the pitch. I like that.
Think he might just be quite swift.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
The kind of player it’s taken six years to scout and secure, and we we wonder why we are where we are.

A proper good cameo from Cornet.
Hopefully both him and Vydra start from now on.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
Would love us to play a 4-5-1 or a 5-3-2 with Dwight in the middle where he’s most effective. Don’t see Dyche doing that, though.

If this is the first AIScout signing - then A LOT more people will be sitting up and taking notice.
Seemed to slot into the team perfectly and looked a class above.

Re: Maxwell Cornet
Cornet proved that he can play on either wing, and I've said all along that I think he'll end up on the right with Gudders moving to the left and McNeil with a free roll somewhere in the middle. The only problem is Sean's reluctance to change from 4-4-2, but surely he can see the advantages now?
n.b. how often Guddders has switched wings in recent games.
