That's some discount from the £50 that was being moaned about earlier this year...

Its worth networking to get a group ticket-I already have mine for Norwich

Typical Americans charging £50 a ticket, no chance I'm paying that!

Is there a danger here that smaller groups will buy ten tickets as it still works out cheaper leaving tickets unused and unsellable?

Seen some sour comments on other sites from ST holders about this being unfair on them. Personally, as an ST holder, I'm happy with any initiative to get more people on as bigger crowd makes for a more enjoyable atmosphere and spectacle.

Weren't all tickets £50 ?
Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
Sounds like you go where the club put you. So I'm guessing Jimmy Mac lower, or maybe Longside lower.
Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
This is a great offer from the club so well done to them for trying something a bit different.

I’m a season ticket holder and I’m happy they’re doing it. Fill the ground I say, the more the merrier. I pay for a season ticket to guarantee my seat and to avoid having to queue for tickets, not to save money really. I also prefer a full stadium.

Are there really STH whining about this offer?
Its not like they are getting every game at that price. It’s 2 games FFS.

Let me just get this right: my mum and dad (non-season ticket holders) and my sister (non-season ticket holder), could go to these two games together, after buying ten tickets….and save money?

Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
They're doing the right thing. We had lots of empty seats for the first game and the others too, including Arsenal. Our support had definitely dwindled in the past few years to a new low by PL standards (including away). It's to be hoped that we pull a few more on with the new players and slightly better football on offer but it's clear the club need to get fans back and cheaper tickets is one way of doing it. The only thing is will people actually be able to find 10 people to go? I know I couldn't pull 10 people together (altho the people I go with all have ST anyway). I feel it would have been better to say 6 tickets rather than 10, but really hoping that this works and we get a fuller crowd again

No problem from me, the attendances so far must have really worried them. We need to get people in. I'm assuming they will be in one of the lower tiers.Stalbansclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 8:27 pmSeen some sour comments on other sites from ST holders about this being unfair on them. If it's anything like my experience in buying 2 tickets for Rochdale, and far worse
13 tickets for the U21 International then I wish anyone the very best of luck. Hope

then we are really in a bit of a state. The only plus would be bigger attendance.

Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
Believe that's the case but if they were to look back then I'm sure the number of non-attending season ticket holders is often high, particularly in the early weeks of the season.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 11:18 pmI overheard someone saying Alan Pace wanted the club to ring up all the ST holders up, who didn't turn up against Leeds (2500) and find out why.

You've got to hope Alan gets informed about the online ticket situation and to some extent the ticket office itself.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 11:21 pmAll they have to do now is try and buy them !!!!!!

Its shambolic, I know people in the last couple of weeks that have walked away from purchasing tickets for games it's that bad.
Youd think the same has applied before towards season tickets.
Some fans cant even give their money to the club

Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
Maybe if they'd done Phase 1, 2 and 3 renewals differently they wouldn't be needing to do this. I am aware of quite a few long term ST holders who haven't renewed owing to how unfairly they feel that they were treated during the process.
Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
It can't be just about money. Maximising attendance as obvious non-financial benefits and shouldn't be underestimated. That said, season ticket holders miss games especially during the holiday season. I missed the Arsenal game because I was away although I let a mate use my season ticket so my seat was occupied.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 11:36 pmWhy's that - they've got their money ? Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
Yep our group of 12 that have been going on together has gone down to 7, some younger ones were season ticket holder for only up to a decade, however my dad has given his up, and has been taking me on since I was young, he must easily be 30+ years service.
Will take some repair work to get them back once they find other things to spend their time and money on.
Even more so if the prices gradually increase year on year, it provides another reason not to start going again.
I really do hope the club look into the ticket system and office, it really does need some work.
Just to add, as a season ticket holder I think the £9 ticket offer is a great one, and I hope loads of families , companies, kids teams etc take the club up on it, it's a great incentive, and the Turf us always better when the ground is full.
Not to mention they are 2 very bug games and a packed Turf can only help in our quest for a couple of wins

Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
My only question as a STH is why they don’t just sell the tickets for £9 each, to be honest. Being not from Burnley nor living in Burnley there’s no way I’d have access to this if I wanted to.

Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
Great offer by the club. Two games that which may not have the "must see" opposition. Prices at £9 to celebrate Sean Dyche's 9 years as the gaffer.
Plus the "first in line" for tickets for some very big games on the Turf.
What's not to like?
Where I live, nearest club is Brentford. Yes, I've got some friends who are Brentford fans. (Their new stadium looks great from the outside. I'll save going on until the Clarets are there). So, should I try and get a group of Brentford fans together, plus a mini-bus, and make a party of 10?
However, on this occasion, I'm already committed that weekend, along with some of my Brentford supporting friends. We've got a "senior footballers" (i.e. 50+ and +++ in my case) game on a pitch alongside the Amex in memory of a recently departed friend.
Is this the opportunity for some Burnley fans to give their Rovers and Preston mates a call? Give them the opportunity to experience Premier League football? Maybe some will discover now is the time to switch?

Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
I've been down in London for over 30 years. Got a couple of half-season tickets after the Chelsea Capital Punishment League Cup win. Could only ever get up to t'Turf for 2 or 3 games a season - and at least one season I didn't get on for a single game. However, I was always able to get the away tickets I wanted, London and South East.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 11:44 pmBelieve that's the case but if they were to look back then I'm sure the number of non-attending season ticket holders is often high, particularly in the early weeks of the season.
It's good that the club wants to know why ST holders haven't got to a game. Of course, there are always personal reasons, however, the club may also be able to identify things that they need to be aware of and, perhaps, can change. A full stadium is always better than a half-full stadium - and no one wants empty stadiums like last season.
Alan Pace's approach is much more pro-active. This £9 for 10 offer is a great offer.
Exciting times.

Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
I get a season ticket every season but can only attend 7/8 matches due to ridiculous shift patterns, but I fully agree offers like this are a very good thing, it might just temp people who have not got there season ticket this year to reconsider
Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
It's a strangely heavy offer. Making it cheaper to buy 10 tickets than 3 tickets may well end up with a "sold out" match with plenty of empty seats.
Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
I’m a long standing ST holder and I’m all for this.
Our support both home and away is by far the worst in the league, interest has most definable waned the longer we survive in the league so it’s great to see some incentive.
More the merrier!

Seems to a fair few ST holders staying away... fair few seats around us in longside upper have been unoccupied since the season started they aren't turning up for some reason maybe covid still putting people off?
Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
Terrible view from any of the front few rows of the Longside and Jimmy Mac stands - made far worse by the migraine/epilepsy inducing electronic flashing advertising boards - make for a poor fan experience in these areas. A permanent £10 adult ticket price in these areas would be quite enough imo.

Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
Correct, I would imagine a very high % of season ticket holders couldn't care less, but sadly not all. I pay about £24 a game for a seat that they price at £50 and don't have to mess about getting tickets per game. I see it no different to sitting next to someone with a child ticket or a concession one both would have paid less to sit in the same area.FeedTheArf wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 12:55 pmAnother season ticket here more than happy with the offer. Re: Ticket offer for Norwich and Brentford games.
I am all for AP trying new approaches to get bums on seats.
I have been a ST holder for many years, when my lads starting playing football, etc and drifted away, my other half then came along and for years we have been to all home games and quite a few away. We have been fortunate to meet SD at a couple of Foundation Q&A's. You could not meet a more personable gent.
Our pre-match routine always involved a nice country pub on the hills. However more often than not we left TM and both said "we should have stayed in the pub". We were not a great watch, grinding out games with what appeared to be the sole intention of SD getting his "staying up bonus".
The whole situation not helped by Sean's insistence on keeping proper footballers on the bench like Vydra when it was crying out for something different other than boot it up to Wood & Barnes.
Our recruitment approach was poor. I am not expecting Messi or Ronaldo to be signed but we seemed to prefer a 38 year old who was good for the dressing room rather than looking at pacy talent in the lower leagues (Brentford keep finding them)
I could go on and I would add that I am not saying I am right and lots of people on this Messageboard are wrong. We all have our opinions. We took the decision to stay in the pub and spend the thick end of £1,000 each season for ST's, this time around, supporting local hostelries rather than BFC. Looking at the empty seats via TV, I suspect there may be a few others taking the same approach.
AP has started well if Cornet is anything to go by. A few more of that calibre and we will be a force to be reckoned with and this will get fans returning to Turf Moor. Sticking with the same old plucky Burnley formula was only going one way. SD definitely needs a strong character behind him to take him to the next level, AP could be that man.

They should definitely try to re-capture some of the non-renewers by offering a 1/2 season ticket. The Club used to offer this sometime in the past but for some reason stopped during so.

I'm guessing when the ground was nearly full the club didn't feel that they had to bother.
