A million times better than our usual surrender at City

Re: Match Thread: Man City v Burnley
It would have been soft no doubt but I don't think the keeper took the ball there.
We've seen those given. And reversed? Do you think if Pope had done that it would have been a corner?

Re: Match Thread: Man City v Burnley
Hate watching us play at City . Look they are a fantastic side when we push forward we leave gaps at the back , when we sit back they pick us off in the end .
Now all said we did really try this half just need the luck of the green to get a goal .

Laporte backed out of the challenge, that probably saved him the red.

If, and obviously it's a big if, but if we can keep it down to just 1-0 after 65-70 mins we might as well go for it.

Re: Match Thread: Man City v Burnley
Thought we played well there. Restricted them and caused some problems at the back.
There's been very few games this season when we haven't done well.
Still a chance to get something here. We need to be resute at start of 2nd half

Happy with that first half performance. I do think had we started with 451 we would have been 0-0 at ht.

We were giving it a decent go in the first half to be fair. Need a bit of luck in our box but I can def see us scoring

Not sure how you pull out of a challenge when both feet are off the ground with studs showing

Bring Roberts on for some width on the right hand side on the hour mark and we could get something here.
Maybe?

Love for Woody to get a fluke goal, then bury the winner from 25 yards

Re: Match Thread: Man City v Burnley
He didn't have that much forward momentum and was able to bend his leg before contacting McNeil. Id like another look but im pretty certain both studs weren't showing when he made contact and I think he'd managed to ground one leg to reduce the impact
If as you say both feet were off the ground with studs showing when he hit McNeil I will change my view as that would be a def red

That's a mistake I think. 451 seems to have been working. Maybe at 75 ir 80 if we are still in it but not yet?

In fairness, Cornet has been injured and then away on international duty.
Probably wise.

Clarets+ suggesting protecting Cornet for Southampton. He may had got a knock or pull from earlier.
