Tonight's Games
Tonight's Games
Eddie Howe's Sleeping Sheikhs v Norwich
DL v Palace
I suppose a draw for the first.
Anything other than a home win for the second.

Re: Tonight's Games
Be happy with 2 draws but a palace win would be good providing we get something from tomorrow, too much to ask maybe

Re: Tonight's Games
I'd be happy with a Norwich win against Newcastle - followed by a Burnley win against them on Saturday..... that would put them further adrift at the bottom and still without a win - which could impact their recruitment in January.
Re: Tonight's Games
Hi Sutton,
I must admit I was thinking about that. Everything depends on us starting to win games though.

Would be interesting to see how tolerant Newcastle fans remain were they to lose to Norwich and us.Sutton-Claret wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 2:44 pmI'd be happy with a Norwich win against Newcastle - followed by a Burnley win against them on Saturday..... that would put them further adrift at the bottom and still without a win - which could impact their recruitment in January.

Norwich win for me. Would be funny to see Newcastle relegated.

I think Norwich might get a mauling tonight. I predict a high scoring game-maybe 5-2, with St Maxim and Wilson being the Geordie heroes

them dropping would pretty much guarantee only one automatic place available from the Championship next season.claret2018 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:51 pmNorwich win for me. Would be funny to see Newcastle relegated.

Re: Tonight's Games
Totally agree. If we had to go this season the last club we would want to come down with us would be Newcastle. Ideally we can both drag in Watford, Saints, Brentford, Palace into the fight along with Norwich and Leeds.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:58 pmthem dropping would pretty much guarantee only one automatic place available from the Championship next season.
I'm my ideal world, we would stay up and Newcastle go, because what they will throw at transfers should they stay up this year, I don't think they'd be flirting with the bottom 3 so that would make us staying up next year a bit harder..
All dependent on one thing as ever though, we need to turn decent showings into wins.

Re: Tonight's Games
I've seen two newspapers today and read both their pundits predictions on Premier League finishing positions. Times has Everton, Norwich and Newcastle to be relegated. Mail has Leeds, Brentford and Newcastle. (I think I've remembered accurately). Neither has Burnley in the bottom three.Andreshotboots wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 6:48 pmTotally agree. England Women only 5-0 up after 20 minutes. Is qualifying always this ridiculous? Not something I've noticed on this scale before

Hoping for a Wilson yellow tonight.

Newcastle down to ten men.
...denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Surely better to let him shoot, possibly score (or miss!) and play on with 11men not 10!!!???

They were saying on the radio yesterday that that game could beat the competitive record score of 20-0.

Re: Tonight's Games
Ecky thump - that decision that went in favour of Shelvey!!!!
Newcastle must have full diplomatic immunity following the red card or something. Or maybe there's a new "power play" mode where you can call in decisions?
Anyway, looks fun and adds an extra element of jeopardy to the game.

Re: Tonight's Games
That’s just annoyed me more than I was at the time. 30 or so minutes with Palace down to 10 men and we could’ve edged the result. So annoying.

Re: Tonight's Games
The good news is this might just cancel out the extra days rest on us they have as the 10 men will have to do a hell of a lot more running for 80 minutes now..

Not to mention the "break" we have had with Sunday's game being postponed.Andreshotboots wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 8:01 pmThe good news is this might just cancel out the extra days rest on us they have as the 10 men will have to do a hell of a lot more running for 80 minutes now..

Re: Tonight's Games
Personally thought that was a penalty just then
Re: Tonight's Games
Regardless of tonight's result, Norwich don't look at have enough firepower to keep them going throughout the rest of the season.
Re: Tonight's Games
Norwich look more than capable of winning this ,quite an unbelievable turn around in results for them, I watched them against wolves who Norwich made wolves look very poor, and if they had a player who could finish would of won easily, and can play football to boot!

A Wilson booking would be nice so he's suspended as well.

Re: Tonight's Games
Unless they sign someone in January I can't see them surviving if they have to rely on Pukki alone.Safron wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 8:05 pmNorwich look more than capable of winning this ,quite an unbelievable turn around in results for them, I watched them against wolves who Norwich made wolves look very poor, and if they had a player who could finish would of won easily, and can play football to boot!
