Collins and Taylor very good, the rest worked hard but little talent on display. Pleas can Santa bring us two decent midfielders.

I do wish people wouldn't feed the Newcastle troll, especially on the match thread. It shits things up.

Well that's a good point for us, considering our lack of efforts on target.
It's a good job Traore is a selfish git because if he'd passed that ball instead of shooting we would've been 1-0 down.
Excellent game by Taylor and some great experience for Collins there.
Hard fought draw though and the lads did well defensively.

Can’t pass, can’t dribble, cant create, gives the ball away all the time.minnieclaret wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 9:25 pmYou need to watch more games. He’s a long way from that.
He is horrendous. But because he runs around a lot he will be loved.
Re: Wolves V Burnley match thread
Collins mom won't get a sniff on Saturday, but there is a player there when tarks leaves
Re: Wolves V Burnley match thread
Really good result, I just wish we didn't give the ball away so easily

I don't think they do....we just played in a different style due to a couple of key players being out.....be a different game against Newcastle but I was happy tonight

Wolves are a solid side with bags of pace, we have always struggled with pace.
They’re a top 8 side
We are currently in the bottom 3
They were at home and in form
A point is a good point!

He wasn't much better at the back.
Wasn't his best game for us as a Reading player?

Great result but why Roberts not on .He must despair with totally ineffectual Aaron getting on
Re: Wolves V Burnley match thread
He's possibly the worst centre half I've seenjedi_master wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 9:25 pmGood, solid performance. Follow this up with a win at the infinitely worse Newcastle now.
Word for ‘bambi on ice’ Collins - what a player this lad is. He’s been great every game. His composure is ridiculous for a 20 year old with 3 starts at this level behind him. Unreal.
Re: Wolves V Burnley match thread
Only worry is Ben Mee looked to be struggling with a knock

Good performance at the back, with standouts from Taylor and Collins.
Centre mid not bad, against a very good Wolves midfield.
Wings and forward line couldn’t pass water tonight and offered hardly any threat.
Move on and hope the front lads turn up against Newcastle.

Re: Wolves V Burnley match thread
Taylor MOM due to last gasp tackles of brilliance, Collins close, Mee third.
Missing our creative force in Westwood, they have a very strong defence, so a point is brilliant.
Still only 3 points off a 38 point season.

Good point but we missed Westwood’s balls in behind. Thought we could have definitely had some joy but wood and cornet had nothing to run onto and so both looked poor.

Great team performance - return of the strong jaw?
Collins and Taylor were immense. Brownhill and Cork did an excellent job of keeping Moutinho and Dedonker quiet (two internationals with 166 international caps between them).

Only CP, outside the top 7, have lost less than us. 3 points for a win means we need wins.
Re: Wolves V Burnley match thread
Good point in isolation. They are a good side. Taylor and Collins the standouts. Traore looks a good player.
Re: Wolves V Burnley match thread
Better than a loss, poor performance though. Never looked like scoring all night. Collins and Taylor were very good, Collins is a better central defender than Tarkowski imo, positionally he's never caught out, quicker along the ground and better on the ball.

and yet McNeil made their keeper make a save, did Pope make a single save all night ? (genuine question as I can't remember one - he stood no chance with the Traore shot)

a point away at a top 8 team who are full of internationals and we finished with at least 4 players on the pitch that with respect, probably wouldn't get in another PL side. We really aren't far off

I agree most of the service Cornet received were long balls where he was trying to either head it on or control it against 6ft CBVegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 2:42 amyou could be describing Ronaldo. Doesn't matter who you are, without service most games will pass a player by

I always read through the match day thread the following morning kid, helps highlight those who know nothing about the game and who you should laugh at constantly.
Good to see more and more people getting tired of your boring agenda though and highlighting the sad individual you are.

Not sure how the number of saves Pope made is relevant to the statement ''we never looked like scoring'', Pope plays for us.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 2:01 amand yet McNeil made their keeper make a save, did Pope make a single save all night ? well, you said we didn't look like scoring - McNeil made their keeper make a save. Pope didn't make a single save. Wolves also didn't look like scoring because we defended well

As much as I’m quite aware of your dislike of Brownhill (which is your choice, fair do’s) Even I was a tad surprised when you gave him a 4 (alongside aging Cork in a 2 man mid) when keeping a clean sheet away at a team in the top 7.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 8:51 amYou go through 370 posts to find people to laugh at. If you could set out your parameters for giving him a 5 I’d be all ears. Perhaps a hat trick away at AC Milan ?

I’ve got nothing against him. If he plays well I will mark him accordingly.
I just don’t understand how against palace where he had an absolute stinker he still got ratings of 7. His highlights that game were, 15 passes completed in 90 mins. 1 tackle and 1 interception. Zero chances created.
I think as a rule of thumb he is marked higher because he runs a lot.

I don't think Brownhill is as bad as you portray, but one the reasons he is the team is his ability to work his socks off to close down passing lanes and slows up attacksNewcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 9:51 amYou would be amazed to hear I have given him a 6 on a few occasions. Is he a world beater at it? No
Is he the best we've got at it? Yes
How much would it cost to get a midfielder who could do all that, plus score goals and everything else? More than we've got
