Re: Shareholders' letter
There is no indication as to who it can or can’t be but I’m unclear what they are witnessing other than the shareholder’s name (not signature).

Re: Shareholders' letter
If you have online banking the Swift code for your brand will be in your account details
Re: Shareholders' letter
Goes to show that google isn’t always right then. - best check with your own bank.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 1:57 pmUpdate on that - just been online with Barclays and it says the swift code starts BUKB and not BARC.
Re: Shareholders' letter
I'd certainly check with the bank/online banking/bank app. I know my account is based in Wales somewhere for some reason, even though I opened it in Burnley.

If you download a bank statement you will find your SWIFT/BIC and IBAN information at the top.

That’s correct Tony . The IBAN includes the sort and account information.
Re: Shareholders' letter
I emailed the club on this point yesterday and have had a response confirming that anyone over ‘the legal age’ (which I’m assuming to be 18) can sign as witness.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 2:19 pmThere is no indication as to who it can or can’t be but I’m unclear what they are witnessing other than the shareholder’s name (not signature).

Do you send in a copy of your passport or your actual passport?

I sent a scanned copy of the page with my photo and name on.
That said, I've heard nothing back to say it's acceptable or otherwise.

A copy is acceptable GV, rather than risk mine being lost in the post I took it personally to main reception and the young lady said it was fine.gawthorpe_view wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 4:54 pmI sent a scanned copy of the page with my photo and name on.

Anybody had any acknowledge from the Club confirming receipt the sale application and share certificate now the closing date has passed? I sent mine recorded ( I live out of town) but it was never signed for but was assured when i went into the Club reception that they weren't signing for any mail.
Re: Shareholders' letter
Mine was signed for on receipt
Re: Shareholders' letter
I sent mine off about 10 days ago. Not had any confirmation on anything yet, no emails from the club.

Re: Shareholders' letter
Yeah, I haven't had any acknowledgement from the club. Given what's involved, that seems quite poor form from them.
Mine was signed for on the 9th.
Does anyone have any idea on when we should hear from the club / receive our payment and / or credit "note"?

I think they are all going to be dealt in one batch so I think they are all piled up waiting for that.

Did anyone ever get any acknowledgement from the club, other than via the royal mail website to say that their letter had been signed for ?

I’ve contacted them again tell them it didn’t. I’ve asked my questions again. Hopeless.

Re: Shareholders' letter
Would it be right to assume the club would know how many shares would potentially be sold back and set their stall out accordingly?
I'm not sure where they originally said payment would be next Tuesday as someone further up suggested, but I can only wonder why it's been put back a month.

Re: Shareholders' letter
The wording in Appendix-1 of the Offer Letter was:
2.2 Settlement
Payment of the cash due on acceptance of the Offer, and provision of the Club credit via registered account, will be despatched within 21 days of the later of (i) the First Closing Date, and (ii) the date upon which the relevant acceptance, complete and valid in all respects, and share certificate(s) are received by the Company Secretary. All documents and remittances sent by or to accepting shareholders will be sent at their risk.
Is the revised timing technically in breach of the offer....?

Re: Shareholders' letter
They probably want you spending money in the club shop after the Xmas rush.
Re: Shareholders' letter
I don't think they were legally obliged to make that offer anyway (unless a minority shareholder sued them for some form of legal issue re. disadvantaging the minority shreholders) and so perhaps the offer of equivalent value is enough to satisfy the law. It may be that if they get to 90% of the shares with this offer, they can compulsorily purchase all the rest, and that probably would have to be for cash. If so, the people who held on would be financially better off. Unless they decide not to purchase them at all, in which case they would be financially worse off.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 10:53 pmI don't believe it is the same offer and the directors didn't get half in club credit
Re: Shareholders' letter
If it is in breach, I think your redress would be limited to either cancelling your agreement to sell and deciding to keep the shares, or to getting a tiny bit of interest. Which I would calculate at about 10p a month, tops.sportak-mustgo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 10:26 pmThe wording in Appendix-1 of the Offer Letter was:

The interest would probably be at BoE base rate + 8% so it would be a bit more than that, something like £6 a month, but still not much.

Could I just check if anybody else is still waiting for the email confirming that payment will be made?
I haven’t had any such email yet? Our case involved transfer of ownership from the original shareholder so I expected some delay but just wondered if anyone else in the same position?

Nothing heard here either. I dropped my signed document, share certificate etc at club reception in good time prior to the cut off date.
