Im sorry but When you have a chance of reaching the fa cup Quater final you don't play a team of

..................Peacock-Farrell

Bardsley..Long..Dunn..Driscoll-Glennon
Gudmundsson..Stephens..Benson..McNeil
...........Rodriguez..........Vydra
You do if its the bottom of your list of priorities..

Our better youngsters are still with us but that squad has been ravaged with injuries and illness too.
Has the highly rated Richardson been out for a lot of the season? Not heard his name mentioned for a while

So Taylor, Pieters, Collins, McNiell, Gudmundsson and Vydra are all smitten with it. Surely this should have been called off.
FA rules count all registered players, including youth team. I think the minimum requirement is 16 available.

However, if you listen to Ian Woan's pre-match press conference he says we are a team of "no excuses" and just get on with it.

If we are struggling and need game changers from the bench/ or have injuries we are in trouble.

Sean Dyche has been in the media last couple of days, both newspapers and tv, scoring for Chesterfield.

Ian Woan also spoke about his FA success as a player.

I'm most probably gonna get slated for this ,and I'm sticking my neck out here, but now he's fit ..Dale Stephens could be our saviour this season, he has got a lot to prove and may be the 'new face' that will give everyone a lift, plus adds more competition for places .

I am personally not fussed what team selection he put out today - but I’d have liked to have seen a change of formation. Even looking at his available players, three centre backs and three central midfielders would have suited what was available better than what is on the team sheet (I.e, Long, Mee, Tarky at CB / Brownhill, Westwood, Stephens in central midfield). This seemed an ideal opportunity - to me - to attempt something different strategically, even with a lack of players.

Having seen the ones unavailable (I.e, all our wingers bar Lennon), I’m even more if that opinion.

————————————-Pope
———-Tarkowski———Long——————Mee
Lowton—Brownhill-Stephens-Westwood—-Lennon
—————————Wood———Rodriguez

I’m not saying it looks exciting (at all), but the old saying “If ain’t broke don’t fix it” is just as true in the opposite. We desperately need to consider an alternative to 4-4-2, in my opinion.

He didn't look all that bad when he came on VS united, someone who could put his foot on the ball and pick a pass. Interesting to see how he gets on here.

Understandable, but we have two huge games next week, is it worth risking some of these first teamers in this cup?
Our next game is Leicester, Saturday 15th, in a week's time. Then it's Watford on Tuesday 18th and Arsenal on Sunday 23rd.

I think we need as many as we can with match fitness and sharpness, especially given the injuries and sickness plus games called off.

It's a state secret apparently but he broke his ankle. Not been out as long as Rob Harker though without a word said. I was there in August when he suffered his injury.

Real shame that.

I only saw him play once (the friendly at Oldham) but he lit the pitch up in the time he was on. Looked a real prospect and with the lack of goals at the moment he may well have been given a shot. Hope he recovers soon.

Mancini has been injured for weeks. Before anybody asks, Lewis Richardson has been out since September.

Michael Mellon has also been out injured (one believes) for several weeks.
Mancini played in the last couple of u23 games or has played recently, unless he picked up another injury (highly likely as CT said he is unavailable), so he is back or has been back.

BBC Sport team line up has just switched Lowton to left back and has got Bardsley at right back. Is that how they are on the pitch?

What a ball from Lowton (I think) to Wood who pulls it back to Jay who just puts it past the post.
