Hi CT, how does "don't care what the footballs like" work?
I'd have thought investors will only make money if the team is successful. Yes, we can all overlook performances if the results are coming in, but the league table tells us how we are performing as a team.

We've had the best part of a great decade, but it's always been a "results" game.

I don’t think that’s the case. They’re not all piled in to one contract. That’s why assistant managers often take over for interim periods. So I don’t see why Mercer had to go. I think Pace, in his infinite wisdom, decided to have a full clear out of anyone connected with the first team.

They're not but you see it with managerial sackings all the time. Mercer and Dyche obviously had an agreement in place. It's pretty common.

The board would have decided knowing that it wouldn't just be Dyche that left but the entire group and they decided it would be best for us to try and stay up.

Possibly but also you could argue when potential investors watch games to see what we’re about, they might want to see some entertainment. Instead right now they see our worse stand in the ground, empty seats and dull football. Hardly a turn on.

In a bar with a prominent under 23 players Aunt and Uncle in turkey atm. All they’ve said is it’s a shock and a lot of players at that level now feel like their futures are up in the air. I know communication about anything below first team has been scarce this season but will be interesting to see how that plays out under a new gaffer.
