Hi CT, how does "don't care what the footballs like" work?
I'd have thought investors will only make money if the team is successful. Yes, we can all overlook performances if the results are coming in, but the league table tells us how we are performing as a team.

We've had the best part of a great decade, but it's always been a "results" game.

UTC
They won't care if we play 442 and hoofball if we're mid table.
They won't care if it was to win us the league.

They just want results, style of play doesn't tend to matter to investors so long as the results are good.

I don’t think that’s the case. They’re not all piled in to one contract. That’s why assistant managers often take over for interim periods. So I don’t see why Mercer had to go. I think Pace, in his infinite wisdom, decided to have a full clear out of anyone connected with the first team.
They're not but you see it with managerial sackings all the time. Mercer and Dyche obviously had an agreement in place. It's pretty common.

The board would have decided knowing that it wouldn't just be Dyche that left but the entire group and they decided it would be best for us to try and stay up.

I’ve heard an explanation that, if true, would explain the timing, why the entire staff have been sacked and why there’s seems to be a lack of comments from players that owe their careers to him!

It’s so scandalous that I can’t repeat it but save to say there would be no statute and the Royal Dyche would be changing their name.

Would that also mean he was sacked without the club paying out his contract?

Possibly but also you could argue when potential investors watch games to see what we’re about, they might want to see some entertainment. Instead right now they see our worse stand in the ground, empty seats and dull football. Hardly a turn on.

No I won’t. The point I’m making is many people are jumping to conclusions based on nothing but supposition. There is an alternative to the poor Dyche sacked by American owners who don’t understand Burnley or football.

They thanked him for what he has done notably they offer no good wishes as to what they do in the future. It’s as bland a statement as you could possibly get.

There is an alternative I agree! And I think it’s a good decision by pace but at a bizarre time. The point I’m making is, at a time where the club communication is quiet, with so many questions and no answers, posting something like that ‘I know something you don’t know’ is just unhelpful and serves to add to the frustrations.

Which is why I started by saying “I have heard an explanation” I didn’t say it was a fact but it gives a plausible reason for the manager and entire 1st team coaching staff to be sacked at such a critical point in the season. A decision that no one seems understand why it was made on Friday, even those that want Dyche to go.

So why not just say what you’ve heard? It makes no sense. I’d heard something from a decent source and was happy to share it here, which I did yesterday, and still got criticised for making it up. But better than hiding behind ‘oh but I can’t tell’.

It’s more, don’t take it on face value, and consider what possible reasons could there be for such a drastic, bizarre, illogical, panicked decision?

It’s not the general consensus that appears to be “Pace is a dishonest stupid American who knows nothing”.

Give Burnley Ace a break.... His post merely suggests that he has heard a version of events that would suggest that there is a lot more to this than AP just firing Dyche for the poor performances. Anyone who spends time on Twitter can find similar 'rumours' and make of it what they will.

For the record, I haven't a clue what happened but I am sure that there must be more to it than performances and results, due to the suddenness of the announcement.

We have some of THE worst supporters in any division, the smugness levels of the Dyche out brigade is truly sickening.
It should be printed on their season tickets so we all know who to avoid.
As was the level of smugness from the Dyche in brigade after telling us repeatedly we would be safe and to trust in Dyche. Come Christmas they reverted to the get out of, we don't belong in this league crap. Knocking anyone who dared question him.
Can comments like, shite club, shite board, hope we get beat, ect get put on season tickets too so we can see who the real bunch of throbbers are.
Some of you lot would be ****** off if we stopped up without Dyche. Comical.

Best just to ask if BurnleyAce thinks it will become common knowledge?
If it’s true then yes it will and it will all make sense.

That Pace was told by God to sack Dyche.
:D

I heard the sacking was carried out once Alan Pace had triangulated Sean Dyche’s IP address against BenWickes’s and realised that he could no longer speak openly and honestly with the manager.

Comical.
I can honestly say I can't think of a single person in the entire world who would be ****** off if we stopped up without Dyche.

Funny you should say that. Latest twitter rumour is that Dyche and team had agreed to join Everton at the end of the season. Pace found out and sacked them all. Just to add, not my rumour, just taken from Twitter. Wonder if that’s what the poster above was alluding to?

In a bar with a prominent under 23 players Aunt and Uncle in turkey atm. All they’ve said is it’s a shock and a lot of players at that level now feel like their futures are up in the air. I know communication about anything below first team has been scarce this season but will be interesting to see how that plays out under a new gaffer.

That makes complete sense sack him & pay him out or wait for Everton & receive compensation.
