Bournemouth v Forest
A huge game in the Championship this evening, kick off at 7pm on Sky Sports.
A win for Forest would take them above Bournemouth into 2nd place before the last game of the season, a win for Bournemouth and they'd be promoted this evening.
Forest have been on an extraordinary run and I think they will win this evening, a game postponed from earlier in the season due to COVID cases in the Bournemouth squad then. Two attacking teams, it should be a good game with a tense atmosphere, a full season's work leading up to games like tonight.

Re: Bournemouth v Forest
I've never seen Burnley against Forest in the top division and, without looking it up, I'd hazard a guess it's not happened in my lifetime (1983) so on that basis alone I'd like Forest to come up. Assuming we stay up, of course.
Re: Bournemouth v Forest
Does the result affect Rovers promotion push ?

Saw us beat Forest 8-0 at Turf Moor in November 1959. Jimmy Robson scored 5 that day.distortiondave wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 5:37 pmI've never seen Burnley against Forest in the top division and, without looking it up, I'd hazard a guess it's not happened in my lifetime (1983) so on that basis alone I'd like Forest to come up. Hoping Forest go up as I always enjoy going to the city ground . But if they don't , maybe we could pinch Cooper .

It's because Bournemouth finally gave Rovers playoff hopes the bullet the other day that I don't mind if they win.

Re: Bournemouth v Forest
Bournemouth should have been a team with points deduction for breaking the fair play rules
They have constantly spent way over their income, but with creative accounting have dodged punishment
Forest are doing well this year and it would be good to seem them in the Premier league playing us next year

I'd love to see Forest promoted, so come on Forest!
They've bottled in the playoffs a few times under Billy Davies, they even somehow missed out last season on a playoff spot on the final day with something like a 5 goal swing.

Re: Bournemouth v Forest
Forest hit the bar through Surridge, poor finish really, superb run and ball from Spence to set him up.

This reminds me of Burnley v Boro the year we were champions of the Championship. Some game and a great equaliser by Keane

Re: Bournemouth v Forest
Surridge onside and brought down by keeper for a Forest pen, but linesman had flag up for offside, tight call but linesman was wrong.

The lino on the far side has money on Bmouth. Denies Forest an easy to see corner and has just flagged Surridge offside incorrectly and it should have been a pen.

With my annual support for Northern teams I could do with Forest up automatic and Terriers to win the playoffs.

yep agree. To be fair they should have had that pen in the first half. I've not been impressed by either team tonight

One poor offside decision and it would have been a Forest pen and it could have been so different.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 8:54 pmyep agree. To be fair they should have had that pen in the first half. I've not been impressed by either team tonight

Re: Bournemouth v Forest
Congratulations to Scott Parker who at 41 must be the best young British manager in the game.
Two promotions out of two in the Championship and if he doesn't go on to manager one of the big 6 I can definitely seeing him be Southgate's successor as England manager

Yeah between him, Eddie Howe and Potter for the best English managers there are right now. Either of the 3 would make good England managers.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:00 pmCongratulations to Scott Parker who at 41 must be the best young British manager in the game.

I am sure we got the 2nd place trophy in 2014? After we beat Wigan all the players came back on for the medals and trophy.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:40 pmWhen did 2nd place get an award in the championship?
It shows how ridiculous society is these days, the same with participation medals, teaching people hard work is no longer needed to be rewarded.

Love it!
Can't wait for work tomorrow. Lots of Notts fans coming out of the woodwork over the last 3 games.
Same old comments today: 'when was the last time Burnsley (yes) won the European Cup?'

Re: Bournemouth v Forest
Well done Bournemouth, they made heavy weather of finally getting over the line, but Scott Parker has done well to steady the ship over recent weeks.
And Ryan Christie is now vindicated in his decision to reject Burnley for Bournemouth.
