Just drove over there yesterday and was thinking about that crime. One of the most chilling of the last century. Pure evil. Shame they just escaped the noose. Hope they find him.

Re: Skull found on the Moors
Hard to believe that Keith would be around 70 years old now.
I sincerely hope it is Keith's remains that it may give his brother and family some closure and maybe his mum will finally rest in peace.

That Brady held onto power until the end, that’s the evil psychopath he was, I’d love to have been able to take that away and they’d found him, it would have destroyed the *******

I believe people especially taxpayers should decide where their money is getting spent & shouldn't be waking up at the crack of dawn & working all day funding prisoners convicted of murder when other preferable solutions exist, people should have that right & be entitled to decide.

There's plenty but you haven't even considered how many more would happen, the electric chair is accountable for reduction people don't commit murder & hop state to state if the electric chair is no big deal, most people are terrified of capital punishment & people would definitely think twice if they knew the punishment would be life ending.

Jakub, with respect, it’s demonstrably false.
You’re longing for society akin to what’s described in a London Fête (at best) and the Pendle witch hunters at worst.
The more capitol punishment, the more violent a society is (for the most part).

Ok fair enough I will respectfully stop now but I've only been responding mostly to quoted posts, the essence that the remains lead to closure is good news, my way of doing things would be to ensure repeat crimes don't happen my way of doing things would ensure that the lad would be still alive or more likely, good evening.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 6:22 pmJakubClaret- I posted this thread in the hope of some good news to the country, in Keith finally being found and laid to rest would be great news.

Re: Skull found on the Moors
In this day and age with cctv, forensic science, DNA etc there is no chance of a miscarriage and capital punishment should be put to the vone so the collective conscience can decide, if the liberals win so be it and murderers get a life in relative luxury.

I remember reading 'Beyond Belief' when I was about 14 and to this day no other book has made me feel as bad, I was shaking and nauseous.
As kids from the age of around 10 we ventured further and further from home without knowing evil people like Brady and Hindley existed..
I really hope one day the poor lad (who would be 3 years older than me) is found.

Re: Skull found on the Moors
First of all, total respect to Keith Bennett and I hope that 1 day there is a conclusion to his story.
Jakob, for someone who speaks with clarity on this ridiculous notion of yours as to the general public deciding on the fate of offenders or maybe just those found guilty of murder, how can you not be aware of the huge number of miscarriages of justice. We already have a jury system, dna, and a questionable prosecuting system and still we can’t get it right. We have police officers intent on clearing up cases and ‘fitting up’ their suspects. Targeting individuals with mental health issues. Remember Jill Dando and Rachel Nickell?
Just google Raphael Rowe and then carry on digging, or are you not bothered about convicting the actual offender. Will anyone do?

In fact, let's test Jakub's democratic conviction. For the 'crime' of persistent tastelessness and disruption to this messageboard, let's see him support a vote on his own ostracism from this forum. In the style of the ancient Greeks, let the board hold a vote to ask, "should anyone be exiled from the city' (the messagebaord), and if the answer is 'yes', let a vote be held on who that is.

Yes the general public is exactly who we want involved in cases of murder and subsequent sentencing. I also think 1 random member of the public should be chosen to be prime minister each week.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 5:38 pmThe general public should have a full say & input & be fully involved in all cases of murder & have a bearing on the final decision in sentencing terms.
And people should be allowed a chance to run nuclear power plants. Why shouldn’t Dave the butcher get to have a say in how Hinckley Point C is run?
Come to think of it, why is it that only GPs and nurses get to diagnose or treat illnesses? I think the public should get involved in major treatments and conditions. If I might have cancer, why isn’t my local grocer allowed to decide the best course of action?
Just something to think about. This country needs sorting out. They don’t make them like they used to.

Should evil people be punished, severely punished as a proper deterrent, either by a full term sentence with such harsh conditions suicide is a better option, or the death penalty, or as the liberals want to enhance their oh so wonderful conscience a prison regime so comfortable that relationships can be started, video games can be enjoyed, gym, games etc whilst their victims rot in the ground and their relatives get a full term life sentence of grief.

Re: Skull found on the Moors
Anyone who thinks a serial killers get PS5s in their cell has had their brain rotted away by tabloids. Every prison has its own guidelines on what privileges a prisoner is allowed (presumably with those housing the most dangerous inmates, on the most severe regimes, having the severest rules), and in any case, such privileges need to be earned, and then only paid for with money earned by the prisoner working in the prison, either in workshops or around the prison itself, where they are paid a few pounds a week, and the amount they can spend per week capped at something like a tenner. An internet connection is also strictly forbidden, ruling out modern consoles. Gym access ostensibly keeps prisoners healthy; this ostensibly reduces medical costs. I fail to see how this is a problem.
Almost every tabloid claim is refutable, but that fact won't change the mind of the bloodthirsty cowards who think a more barbaric justice system brings security to their life. These people are led by fear, not reason.

Some agree with capital punishment and some don’t. Accept people have different views without try to make out your on some sort of moral high ground. Whilst I agree with it I doubt it would have stopped these monsters. Whether they deserved it is something else. I accept others don’t agree with it and that’s fine. This thread is about hoping this heinous crime can be given some sort of closure for the families.
