Can’t just rely on penalties
Re: ENG v FRA
Gutted, better side, let down by poor officials and a hopeless pen from Kane.

Regardless of anything else, poor referee etc,we haven't (potentially)progressed due to a shite penalty.

Re: ENG v FRA
Sad to see them go out. The better team for me but what a cracking game of football.
I don’t like the World Cup, prefer the Euros. Far too much cheating and crap referees.
Been great to see the improvement in the lesser known nations.

They played well for large periods of the game. Some bad luck , and we didn't take our best chance, but we can still be proud.

Krbfc , can we now say Southgate's xxxx . Saka and Foden were scaring them to death , so he takes them off for the Chelsea muppets . Plus Grealish for 2 minutes !!!

Re: ENG v FRA
Better team lost. France are very lucky to be going through. Come on Morocco.
Re: ENG v FRA
Bye Gareth....so close but nowhere near.
Re: ENG v FRA
ur talking out of your arse pal, Foden has more games wide left than number 10.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:03 pmDoesn’t help when you stick a number 10 on the wing. And before you say he does it there for city….any number 10 could do it there for city.

Re: ENG v FRA
No in the critical moment ..Pickford poor for the first , also foul on saka we stopped momentarily… greizman cross we were poor defencively…. I think also we could have done subs circa 70 mins……. But i do believe if we had scored that 2nd pen we would have won.. but we all know that at centre halve we are not as strong as we could be

If Kane had scored the penalty won by Mount, would you still be saying Chelsea Muppets?expoultryboy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:03 pmKrbfc , can we now say Southgate's xxxx . Saka and Foden were scaring them to death , so he takes them off for the Chelsea muppets . Plus Grealish for 2 minutes !!!
We weren't scaring the French to death.
Re: ENG v FRA
I'm surprised the ref isn't celebrating with them
Re: ENG v FRA
I'm usually disappointed after a world cup because we have been sh1te, I'm disappointed today because we were the better team over 90 minutes - gutted.
Unlucky England

Re: ENG v FRA
ur an idiot mate, imagine waiting for England to lose to jump down the neck of Southgate. We were the better side there against the tournament favourites and defending champs. I'd rather go out like that than against Iceland.expoultryboy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:03 pmKrbfc , can we now say Southgate's xxxx . Re: ENG v FRA
Can't be too critical. Close game of few chances. Just about the better side edged it in the end. Said it before on this thread - but France had more when and where it mattered.

Terrible substitutions. Foden and Saka were on fire. Very upsetting. I gather that the FA are keeping faith with Southgate though, irrespective of tonight’s result. More than very upsetting.expoultryboy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:03 pmKrbfc , can we now say Southgate's xxxx . He plays on the wing every week, what are you talking about lol? He's played in the same position for club and country.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:06 pmCan you ******* read you moron? I’m not interested what he does for city. The guy is not a winger. City is an anomaly.

Re: ENG v FRA
Rice was basically a passenger all game, 2 yard passes expert.
Ref was bent as ****
Kane is a centre forward, not a midfielder
We hype up our stars as the best but then watch the likes of Modric and Griezmann, they are real superstars
Southgate is a terrible manager

Re: ENG v FRA
We caused them zero problems in open play. We needed penalties to stand a chance and couldn’t put them away.
Re: ENG v FRA
Kyle Walker did a great job on Mbappe. It’s the first time I’ve seen Kane not do his usual run up for the missed pen.

Yes , because he didn't win the penalty. It was stupid french defending , who as the last man making no attempt to win the ball should of gone .

Re: ENG v FRA
All of you who are clutching at straws think about this:
We haven't scored from open play, in fact we couldn't convert both pens.
We are crap, just accept it.
Still haven't beaten a so called elite team away from home since F knows when.

Re: ENG v FRA
Far too slow in our build-up from the back and with Henderson and Rice in midfield. We are good upfront at times but our supply to them is poor. On the positive side it was good to see Henderson get through the entire game, we should build the team round him.
Re: ENG v FRA
At least Rooney’s, who I rate better than Kane, record is still intact for now.
Too many penalties (ironically) to make up Kane’s numbers.

Ah well - we were the better team. No disgrace there. I truly feel tonight was the World Cup Final as I think whoever won tonight would go on to win it (we will see). A shame, as it always is.
All aboard the Morocco train now, and back to the real stuff tomorrow.

Mount had got himself into the box and a potential goal scoring position when he was fouled and won a penalty for it.
I know your all upset and emotional, but there's no need to get all daft too.
