Nobbers game.. Another sell-out?
Re: Nobbers game.. Another sell-out?
Going back to the 20,000 average for the season, we'd have to get gates of 20,818 for the last 8 matches to reach that figure.
When the numbers of away supporters is out of control it's unlikely we'll reach that figure.

Re: Nobbers game.. Another sell-out?
It'll be a stretch for us to be pushing 21k over our last 8 home games.
Huddersfield, PNE, Sheff Utd, Sunderland & Wigan might bring decent followings, however Cardiff, QPR & Watford probably less so.

Might be best to put the small number of Cardiff fans in the Bob Lord corner like we did with Wrexham for the last game of the season.
Re: Nobbers game.. Another sell-out?
That would be a good idea as we had difficulty getting seats together for the last game.

Yes. Cardiff fans are well known for behaving themselves, so it wouldn't be a problem.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 10:47 amMight be best to put the small number of Cardiff fans in the Bob Lord corner like we did with Wrexham for the last game of the season.

It won't happen anyway. Don't worry about it.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 3:57 pmYes. Cardiff fans are well known for behaving themselves, so it wouldn't be a problem.
Re: Nobbers game.. Another sell-out?
Cardiff are 4th from bottom. If they go into the last game with something to play for they'll want the entire away end, and they currently average about 1,200 for their away following.

"In the Premier League, home clubs are required to offer visiting clubs a minimum of 3,000 tickets or 10 per cent of the seats in the stadium if the capacity does not exceed 30,000.
The EFL – Championship, League One and League Two — works on a similar basis. Home clubs in the three divisions must make provision for 2,000 visiting supporters or, if the stadium holds fewer than 20,000 fans, 10 per cent of their stadium capacity."

Slightly of topic mate only just about got 2 season tickets together in the JM upper , said just a few singles left, haven't checked, this guy only goes on every now and then so it shows just how the fan base is waking up.

Re: Nobbers game.. Another sell-out?
Think next season will be really interesting if we’re in the Prem. Just judging by the numbers on socials saying they’re buying ST’s for the first time it looks like we might see very high numbers of ST and therefore far less for walk ons. The fans that pick & choose might have to be much more organised.

Isn't there a limit on the percentage of season tickets each club is allowed to sell?NewClaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 11:38 amThink next season will be really interesting if we’re in the Prem. I'm not sure, just always thought it was so. If I'm right what would be the limit for our STs?
Re: Nobbers game.. Another sell-out?
The fact that the last few hundred tickets are selling slowly suggests that those who want tickets will get them without any issue.NewClaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 11:38 amThink next season will be really interesting if we’re in the Prem. According to Leisure (and others) on another thread there is. 17k rings a bell.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 12:37 pmIsn't there a limit on the percentage of season tickets each club is allowed to sell?

Think we were about 15k this year and about 16k pre-covid in the Prem. With interest much higher now, I could see us hitting that and then only having ~2k per match for walk ons, which would no doubt go quickly against more desirable opponents.

I go to watch the Clarets. In my 53 years of travel, usually alone, I have stood next to many and shared moments, along the way.
We are all Clarets.

I remember seeing a pic of Tony Scholes (CT) and some long time after, seeing him at that running track at Brighton, one long dark evening. Had a chat and bump into him here and there.
