Re: Game v Ipswich
HT. Tella is looking bright and Vitty doing okay. Our lads at the back seem slow and ponderous with their passing .
Foster off it. Twine not really gotten himself involved. Bastien sloppy.
Need to wake up for the second half.

This thread basically sounds like a lot of people who can't see anything of the game whatsoever parping on about what a load of sh1te we are.

I know it's only from listening to commentary, but it does sound like nothing is sticking with Foster.
Still, early days.

The early sign from Foster are quite worrying. I know we’ve only seen glimpses but looks way out of his depth currently. I thought the same about Charlie Austin at first though so here’s hoping Foster turns out the same way.

Re: Game v Ipswich
Tella scored early but since then we've sounded dreadful, Vinny will surely be making a few changes at HT, this is a tie we should win but we are making extremely heavy weather of it over both games so far.
Sheff Utd also being tested by Wrexham 0-0 at HT.
Fleetwood-Sheff Wed also 0-0.
Grimsby the only side who lead, 3-0 against Luton.

Takes me back to the old days tonight of listening to Radio Lancashire and waiting for a 'GOAL ACTION' message, then praying it was Burnley who were in possession.
Re: Game v Ipswich
Sounds like Bastien has been poor again. Might be a swing and a miss with this lad.

Ndiaye was offside, when McAtee shot. Could have got wider so McAtee laid him in earlier.
How did the ref give nothing for the wrestling match on the halfway line? He was only 10yds away looking straight into the situation.

Posting this from the ground.
Poor first half, with most of the team looking laboured so far. That said, some sections of the crowd are showing a lack of patience that has me baffled. This is a team on a fantastic run, fielding a mix of new players and those who haven’t had much game time.

Re: Game v Ipswich
Benson was pretty crap in his first couple of outings before turning into Messi-incarnate, not to mention a load of us at Coventry giving a few 'Hmmmm' thoughts about Zaroury. It will take him time, massive step up in quality/expectation and learning our system etc.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 8:39 pmThe early sign from Foster are quite worrying. Re: Game v Ipswich
Extremely poor half. Genuinely could make at least 5/6 subs. So many players off it tonight. Charlie Taylor is not a CH and he slows the game down to a standstill. Foster looks slower than a tax rebate at the minute and passing in general throughout the team is so sloppy

Hopefully some changes early doors so we can put this to bed
Re: Game v Ipswich
Agree. The only things I can think of with this, is that maybe he wants him to have game time post injury and he’s earned a start having done well at Norwich!?
Even so, Churlinov needs a chance surely?

it's a soft red to be fair, he puts his arm up and it's more a hand/wrist into face, it didn't look near his elbow tbh (i've only seen one replay though)jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 8:45 pmSums that bloke up - the stories I heard about him when he was at Wednesday from people who saw him out and about in Sheffield...wow.

Re: Game v Ipswich
A quick half time report.
Dissapointed to concede, particularly so soon after Tella gave us an early lead.
We've had the most possession, but not by a big margin.
They've had more shots than us, but apart from their goal, hasn't come to much.
We haven't even forced a corner so far, that's telling how poor we've been by our standards.
Hopefully we can regroup and let our quality overaud Ipswich town.

Re: Game v Ipswich
I get a bit of the crowd frustration because some of the mistakes were very basic stuff. I do think we have been spoilt with just how good we have been this season, but the lads out there are better than that first half showing. Fingers crossed they pick it up this second half.
