Blackburn away re schedule
If we beat Fleetwood or they beat Leicester our game can't be played on the day in March and the only dates this game can be played on are Tue/Wed the 25th/26th of April making it our 3rd from last game of the season, this could possibly be the day we take the title, its written in the stars to be crowned champion's at Ewood Park and they get to see it
Re: Blackburn away re schedule
Why can it not be played on any of the other midweeks?

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
There’s an international break and the games on Good Friday/Easter Monday rule out those two weeks.

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
Straight into an international break so can't be played March 21st/22nd or 28th/29th. Then I doubt they'll add a fixture before/after the Easter weekend - Sunderland Sat 1st, Middlesbrough Fri 7th, Sheffield Utd Mon 10th, Reading Sat 15th. Then we play Rotherham on Tuesday 18th.
FA Cup progression pending would see Blackburn moved to April 25th/26th, and QPR moved to May 2nd/3rd (purely opinion but I don't see any other way without moving Middlesbrough and Sheffield United to Saturday/Tuesday fixtures.

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
The other option is play the 1st team in the cup on the Saturday and send a 2nd 11 to Ewood on the next day.
Our 2nd 11 would still win

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
Could we not play the Tuesday before Middlesbrough? April 4th? It's not ideal but it's only a 24 hours different to Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday.

That is the only other available date but asking the team to play Tuesday, Friday and Monday 3 very important game's in 6 days would be bonkers in my opiniondistortiondave wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 8:24 amCould we not play the Tuesday before Middlesbrough? Re: Blackburn away re schedule
Covered in my above comment, but the semi final is the same weekend as QPR at home 22nd April. If we were to progress that far then QPR would be moved to Tues May 2nd with the tie having to be played before May 8th (well, May 5th) for obvious reasons.ClaretLoup wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 8:22 amWhat happens when we get to the the semi final on 22 April?

Think about it it's six, you don't count the first day game it starts the day after otherwise each week Saturday to Saturday match is 8 days apart

So if your weekend starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday, you've only had a 1 day weekend?AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 8:46 amThink about it it's six, you don't count the first day game it starts the day after otherwise each week Saturday to Saturday match is 8 days apart
Mind you, it works the other way too. Go to work every day from Monday to Friday, you've only worked four days! Don't tell the boss, he'll dock your pay.

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
So is no one considering that if we both progress (history tells us not to be presumptuous either way) that we might still play them on the original weekend, just in the cup at their place? would they give us the minimum 4500 seats or the whole Darwen end?

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
Is it possible to reschedule for the international weekend if both teams agree to it, or is it not allowed?
Guess we'd be missing Roberts, Cullen and maybe Zaroury. They'd be missing BBD, but he seems to have gone missing anyway this season. Anyone else?

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
Possibly, Sunderland and Millwall went ahead during the world cup I think but I can't see us agreeing to it if we are going to be missing 3 starting players.scouseclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 1:06 pmIs it possible to reschedule for the international weekend if both teams agree to it, or is it not allowed?

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
There are far to many people getting ahead of themselves thinking that winning the league is a formality...anyything but, there is still plenty of football to play yet and difficult matches
However the later this match is played in the season and should hypothetically Sheffield Utd or Burnley or anyone else become champions before their trip to Ewood would the Blackburn team form a guard of honour as they entered the pitch? Oh the irony of it

If we win, can we request lifting the trophy on Ewoods pitch after the game as well?Petersa wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 2:19 pmThere are far to many people getting ahead of themselves thinking that winning the league is a formality...anyything but, there is still plenty of football to play yet and difficult matches

But as said above, this is just dreaming of a perfect scenario. Lot of football to be played yet

Still a possibility that the QPR game would need rescheduling as well.

Times change eh...
30 years ago Papabendi would be assembling the suicide squad outside Yates's at 8 am on the day of the game.
Now we'll prob have a green tea and a gentle stroll before the match !

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
Would it be a possibility to move Middlesbrough from Easter Friday to the Tuesday/Wednesday before then move Sheffield United(highly likely to be moved anyway) to the Tuesday or Wednesday after Easter then play at Ewood the Saturday or Sunday of the Easter weekend?

Re: Blackburn away re schedule
Rovers have won at West Ham this season so it's not out of the question they could go to Leicester and win, unlikely on present form yes, but by no means impossible as Leicester have been really erratic this season.
Re: Blackburn away re schedule
The way we're going QPR at home might have to be rearranged as well cos we'll be playing in the FA Cup semis.

Semantics. Yes it’s 162 hours between games, but Saturday to Friday is 7 days.Which makes the following Saturday the 8th day.
