Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
We will start upping the tempo in the second half I should think. Hopefully use the extra man.
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
True but there is only one side that is going to win… we really have a very good system/squad.Rick_Muller wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 8:33 pmFleetwood have played as well, if not better than many Championship clubs at Turf Moor this season
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Not easy when they are basically playing every man behind the ball in the final third. Admittedly some of our final third play has been a bit sloppy but that’s Cullen, Zaroury and Brownhill too.warksclaret wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 8:33 pmIts a fine balance between playing your strongest 11 and giving fringe players a chance. Dont think you could get an easier game for Twine, Odefami and Foster to show what they can do, but it does not all look connected when we get in the final third. Think VK will need to bring Tella and Barnes on sooner rather than later
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Obafemi had some nice touches and contributed to our possession game nicely for the first 20 mins, but has started to give the ball away. I'm not sure I like this hybrid role he seems to playing of half striker half right sided forward.
Twine has been good on the ball and has looked to play forward. Foster has been very poor and his finish made him look rather silly as those sort of chipped efforts can if the keeper doesn't go to ground early.
Definitely need someone on the right side to go past a man as well as Zaroury on the left.

Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
He's off the floor, high, with his studs up. If that isn't a red card what is? Whether he tried to pull.out is irrelevant, it was dangerous play.
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
What’s with all the signs asking for shirts
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
A red card has been dished out, now can we get some strikers on please because these two aren't Tella and Barnes
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Glennon having a good game for Grimsby.

Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Second half they will absolutely park the bus
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Taylor really doesn't want to give Zaroury the ball.
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
We need a random rebound just to get the goal.
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
So who should come on?
JBG can come on and put more balls in, but that needs a second sub for someone to attack it. Barnes?

Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Taylor and Vitinho need to wake up and improve their delivery. Awful.

Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Brownhill should have taken it
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Rachel Brown who is a Burnley fan didn't know that Twine had scored a freekick this season.

Officially the worst commentary couple I’ve ever heard.
“gudmundsson the Ireland international”
I can’t take any more.

Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
It was something like "He could be a Ward Prowse" with reference to him taking the FK.
Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Interesting subs.
I’d have hooked Foster, he looks well off it. Hopefully he can grab a confidence inspiring goal.

Re: Clarets v Fleetwood Match Thread
Absolute garbage.
Twine 'maybe he's shown them he's a bit of a ward prowse in training, he hasn't shown it on the pitch yet'
Also 'gudmundsson the Irish international'
