Time for Scott Twine?
After his stunner v WBA I expected Twiney to push on but its not happened. I thought v Blackpool he would finally step up, but he seemed to go into his shell and not deliver his famed long distance strikes
Perhaps I am being super critical, but I was hoping for more from him as I am sure Vinny is.
Hopefully. In our run in games he will finally deliver .

Do you think he will play?
Not sure he will get any game time the back end of this season

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
Advert I think.
Re: Time for Scott Twine?
I personally wouldn't want to see him feature that much from now on. I don't think he's performed well this season, certainly not enough to show that he'd be of much use in the premier league and I fully expect him to be loaned out back to championship next season. Apart from the odd sub on when we are 3-0 up here and there I don't think it's right to take the lads who do perform out the squad whilst they enjoy the end of the season and prepare for next season.

Shown some glimpses but if truth be told the injury really set him back, regaining form and confidence in a team which is already performing at a very high level can’t be easy. To me he’s looked very tidy but not really the direct goal threat he was at MK. I think he needs a good season in the Champ and would be looking at a footballing side like Coventry (or Ipswich if they go up) to go on loan to.

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
Apart from a mountain of injuries/suspensions taking place I think the only time we will see Twine for the remainder of this season is from late subs in the last 5/10 minutes of games, if he even makes the squad at all.
Then no doubt he will either be sold or loaned out in the summer, he won't be part of our Premier League squad next season.

What I have seen from twine yes he looks very lightweight but I do think he is a very good footballer needs to get on the steak puddings during the summer break utc

I’ve yet to see he’s good enough for the championship so can’t see him starting next year, I expect he will go out on loan to league 1 or possibly the championship, if not sold.

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
I think he's got a lot of learning to do tbh - he's barely played any football really and has risen up the leagues quickly... A loan move next season to a championship club thats pushing the playoffs would be good for him, imo
Re: Time for Scott Twine?
He needs a run of games which he isn't getting due to the way others are performing. It can't be easy coming on for 10 minutes here and there and then starting a match to being sub the next.

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
A loan at this level next season to a team he will play every week that play the right way is crucial to his development. Needs to definitely bulk out/work in the gym too as the physical side seems too much for him at this level, currently. I am not sure he will get much of a look in but who knows?
There’s a player there (good on the ball, great set pieces) but much like McNally, perhaps our success on the pitch has meant that we’ve moved quicker than the club expected when we signed those two (and Egan-Riley possibly). The injury was a massive, massive set back for him too. I still think he has a shot here but he will need to show up well next season if we can get him a good club.

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
Twine has done ok. Probably also worth pointing out that he’s been playing a very different position for us than he played previously for MK Dons. He’s been playing as an attacking central midfielder for us whereas for MKD he played as a forward. So whilst his performances have been few and far between (mainly due to injuries as others have mentioned) he has also been learning a new role in newly put-together team. He’s looked a neat footballer to me who can certainly look after the football well enough but a tad lightweight sometimes.

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
The lightweight thing is a bit odd given his starring role in the rough and tumble of League One last year.
Send him to Southampton for a season as a makeweight for Tella.

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
9 on the bench next season with 5 subs allowed, I expect quite a few to leave, hopefully Twine and Darko stay. I like Darko alot, hope he gets a chance but it looks unlikely given he can't even get onto the bench for league games.

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
With free kick ability like that I hope Kompany has a plan to include him in next season’s assault on the PL.
Surely there must be other examples of players being bulked up to deal with the additional physical challenges .

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
Seems to have dropped down the pecking order, not been included in the last couple of match day squads

Re: Time for Scott Twine?
With the players we’ll be bringing in over the summer he’ll be way down the pecking order. Think he’ll leave in the summer.
