Tripe and VK just had no answer to the QPR tactics. Unbeaten record gone both at home and since Sheff U.
That has taken the gloss off the season big time

Not sure people are blaming the result on the ref, but surely are allowed to comment on how sh1t he was?

Agree. Up to us to finish poor sides off. Everyone knows what often happens when you don't.

I thought we were excellent first half, created absolutely loads of golden chances, but couldn’t stick the ball in the net. We deserved to be 3 or 4 up at half time.

Second half was dreadful. No tempo, lax marking, no shape and just an all round pretty terrible performance, not helped by their persistent time wasting.

They didn’t want it more they must be the worst team we’ve played. We just don’t seem to know what to do when they have two big central defenders.

Strange substitutions, did JRod actually touch the ball?

He had a header saved not long after he came on

A fair and balanced summary.

Weak officiating allowed QPR to waste time again and again.

Ultimately what cost us was our own lacklustre display in the second half (very little quality coming from out wide, barring Benson’s goal and nothing centrally) and wasting a hatful of chances in the first.

We’ve been way below our usual standards for the past few weeks.

Didn’t take our chances first half and then conceded two poor goals from set plays…….I think that sums it up really

Set plays are definitely becoming a concern again, 2 soft goals shipped at Rotherham, followed by 2 more today.

Not sure where Ekdal has gone he was playing well then suddenly he's not even in the squad.

Whatever the issue we need to find a solution pronto.

It's been a fantastic season, a season I will probably never witness again, and it's because of this when we put in a performance of this type it's annoying knowing how good we really can be , so let's move on to Tuesday and hope we are fired up to take the trophy.

Some talk that if he plays another game this season it prompts an increase in his transfer fee

I've said it several times on here we have played our best football with a midfield three of Cork, Brownhill and Cullen. We control the game better, we get the ball through the lines with more accuracy and speed, we pick out players more easily round their box.

In the players' minds the job is done.
In the fans' minds it isn't.

We've been poor since Boro. Hopefully a few words are exchanged before Tuesday.

We've been tremendous all season, and if we are to throw one in then it's best to do it after promotion is assured.

And if we respond on Tuesday I'm sure today will soon be forgotten.

Hard to judge as they played with 10 men for 70 odd minutes.

And if you can't see we've taken our foot off the gas since assuring promotion then you are in the minority I suspect.

It's not a huge problem ultimately, however it would be nice to finish the season in a positive manner after a terrific campaign.

Maybe not poor, but not up to our usual standards, and especially against 10 man Sheff Utd in the first half. (I think that Kompany said as much)

Well in all my time watching professional football the shithousery and time wasting displayed today by QPR topped it all. I get they’re in a battle for their life, but genuinely never seen that level of time wasting ever before. Having said that we struggled to get meaningful shots off on target 2nd half. Their defensive structure was solid, we overplayed at times and zaroury was somewhat anonymous 2nd half. Basically teams have now figured out a system of playing that attempts to nullify our possession , But were promoted, just need to limp over the line now.

Tuesday might just be the ideal game to focus their minds, and I'm sure the likes of Barnes and Cork will make the younger members of the squad well aware of what the East Lancs derby means to the fans.

I had a ticket for Leicester today, so struggled to stay in touch with our game as the reception on my iphone was very patchy, so came as a shock following our half time possession and goal attempt stats that we lost

It struck me that maybe the players have become unsettled with the "talk" that firstly Kompany was being considered for Spurs and this week for Chelsea. Its no coincidence that this coincides with poor performances in our last 3 games where we have dropped 7 points in 9.It might also unsettle the coaching staff.Be such a shame if the season fizzles out
