Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
We have Ramsey instead of Clarke.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Fair enough. Though we’ve had a good few reliable friends with inaccurate information on here these past months! It would be a relatively surprising one given the several left wing signings we’ve already made.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Yup even a few before Drogba. Shevchenko, Kezman, Mutu, Torres, Pato, Remy, Higuain, Falcao, Morata, Werner, Havertz, Lukaku, Sturridge, Giroud.
The only real successes have been Diego Costa and Anelka.

Are you sure he's not referring to an article headed: Burnley complete Aston Villa transfer deal after failed attempts to sign Sunderland’s Jack Clarke?

Clarke did play LWB last season for a while, maybe VK sees him playing that role in a back 5 for certain game?

All I got was a WhatsApp saying he'd signed, no more than that, he's never let me down in the past but I have asked for confirmation that it is legit, so hope I've not jumped in too early. I was busy editing photos when the message came in and haven't had time to look any deeper into it (and I need to get off here too and back to editing).
If I'm wrong I'll apologise, but the person who sent me the message is extremely reliable.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
No big deal at all. I was just wondering if your friend may have got his wires crossed with that article as it refers to £12m for Ramsey.ALP wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 6:06 pmAll I got was a WhatsApp saying he'd signed, no more than that, he's never let me down in the past but I have asked for confirmation that it is legit, so hope I've not jumped in too early. I think it’s clear Beyer is ok and hasn’t done his ACL as some have suggested on here

No, sadly so perhaps the message he'd forwarded to me was a pup. A first in all the years I've known him too.

Don't worry about it ALP. As per Dobo earlier no criticism in passing on what you've heard.

The lad from Celta Vigo who we were linked with earlier in the window (Gabri Veiga) has gone to Saudi for 40 million

I thought this was a joke but apparently not. The winds of change are coming especially if the Saudis can bribe their way into the Champions League. I really hope that the governing bodies can see the damage they will do to football if it continues.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 1:06 amThe lad from Celta Vigo who we were linked with earlier in the window (Gabri Veiga) has gone to Saudi for 40 million

You are getting me confused with another poster. My info was even worse, the medical had been done and he had the pen in his hand to sign.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 6:21 pmHahaha I was just joshing with you, tella is still having that medical that penny claret announced on here
Similar to Andy here, I’ve never had duff info off the guy before so I’m amazed it didn’t come through. I genuinely think he messaged in good faith but maybe something happened at the last moment. We may or may not ever find out.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Already possible early signs that it may not all go their own way though - Jota and, if rumours are to be believed, Benzema already want out. Players being signed without the say of the coaches, oppressive environment etc.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
They might as well open the door to African clubs as many are as close to Europe as Saudi Arabia is.

Aye it’s one of those things when things get passed down from different people, first person gets into that a bid is main and 5 people later and a fee agreed and medical completedPenwortham_Claret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 8:09 amYou are getting me confused with another poster. 1 week to go. Could be a busy one with a lot of teams waiting until the last minute by the looks of it. Chelsea have got a lot of players to shift.

There is DEFINITELY a good reason why we haven't already bought a left back. I wonder if that reason will be revealed once we sign whoever it is that we've been holding out for...summitclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 10:37 amOne lives in hope.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Sacha Tavolieri reporting that Bastien is preparing for a transfer and Belgium is still an option. Also reports that our owners are still in discussions to buy a Belgian club, but wrong thread for that.
I noticed earlier that some of Bastien's social media had been swept clean but didn't want to jump to conclusions seeing as Muric did something similar earlier in the summer.
Infos #BurnleyFC in brief :
A come back in Belgium still a possibility for Samuel Bastien. Been told, he’s « preparing his transfer… »
Also, Clarets owners still close to getting a club here in Belgium. Sources told they are talks advanced ongoing with a Belgian club that could be #KVKortrijk, working on a takeover move again.

Actually might be a useful signing to replace Tyrone Mings.
