My worry is longer term. If we are relegated which is looking highly likely What is plan B and can we survive financially?

Makes a mockery of those saying play Brownhill instead of Berge and suddenly we’re more tight, we’re even more wide open. I’d like to see Muric, Anass, Tresor, Ekdal and Taylor come into this side though.
It doesn’t matter who you play in the two we need 3 in midfield this season in most games it’s alarming at worst naive at best that we have set up this way again today.

Jack Cork looks about 25 until he starts running!

I think we will see VK revert to a more recognisable midfield soon. We need strong men in the spine and defence.

Time for Browny, Cork and CT to be in the squad, probably.

——————————-Muric
—-Roberts——Ekdal—-Beyer——-Taylor
——————————-Cullen
—Redmond—Brownhill—Berge—Koleosho
——————————-Foster

Against any of the expected top 12 or so teams, I think we’re going to have to consider something like this. Amdouni looks a lovely player but he is a massive luxury that we can’t afford at the expense of an additional midfielder against teams like Spurs.

There press and movement has killed us they simple pass it round us and through and we are not drilled enough or currently fit enough to cope.

Defensively very poor turn overs with too many people ahead of the ball and too close to our goal.

I'm not worried by that. We have saleable assets which are almost certainly all going to have appreciated in value. We'll just offload a few and keep building.

Football is a strange game. Of the 3 promoted teams we were by far the strongest and now we look the weakest. Just an observation on the first 3 games. Albeit very tough ones.

Think we need a 3 man midfield with Cullen, Josh and Berge. We mentioned this last week. We are being over run

Think also VK needs to keep a low profile-saying too many things that are coming back to bite him eg the performance v City was the worst you will see us play, O Shea will be a top 6 defender, Ramsey will play for England. Let the performances do the talking

In fairness we’ve played 3 teams who will be easily be top 7 this season so it’s hard to tell. Our fixture list has undoubtedly been the hardest in the entire division.

The Luton game being cancelled did us no favours as we've ended up playing three of the top teams in our first three games.

We need to play Luton, Everton or Shef Utd to see how we compare and hopefully give us some confidence.

I keep trying to think positively that this is happening against the top teams and VK will be able to sort it out when we play the teams around us.

We've only just been promoted.
We are a small club in this league.
We will not benefit from all the intangibles in this league.
Out budget is one of the smallest in the league.
We have a young side.
We have an inexperienced side.
We have a squad with 15 new players.
We are playing an open style and people hated the defensive Dyche style and that brings issues.

VK's ego is NOT the problem.

I’m sure the whole world is aware of some road works.

It’s the perception from the outside. Everyone outside of Burnley looking at the BBC all they can see are swathes of people leaving the ground

If they're leaving on 63 minutes they aren't 'fans'.

It's a 'sing when you're winning' mentality. It's a season when we return to the PL which includes a number of teams assembled with obscene amounts of money. The proper fans are going to have to get behind the team for each and every minute of what could be a very long season.

Who gives a **** about perception? I take it you are not on today then? Don’t criticise those wanting to leave early because like I say the surrounding areas for the last few games have been awful and are worse today.

Totally agree, but some has to be on Kompany putting together such a young group of footballers to find their way in this division surely.

To be fair though looking at our fixtures our season realistically starts after about 8 games with how they've come out.

I haven't seen anyone wanting the manager sacked. I am sure he realises how wrong he has gotten these last two games. He has the International Break to work out a new plan.
