Did you start with Yellowstone first?

We thought 1823 was a little meh tbh but did enjoy 1923

They are doing another spin off, of the 6666 range as well
Thought Yellowstone was very good. Preferred 1823 to 1923 but neither anywhere as good as Yellowstone imo.

Band of Brothers and Pacific starting next Fri 15th. Not seen either yet.

Another one here who preferred 1883 to 1923.

They’re doing a spin off of 1883 called Lawmen: Bass Reeves. And yeah, 6666 based upon the ranch one of the characters stayed at in Yellowstone, The Four Sixes. I think I’ve read about a Matthew McConaughy spin off too…unless that is 6666?

Yellowstone itself is brilliant too.

I was going to recommend "my Octopus teacher"........it's a thrilling documentary about a man and an Octopus and well worth the watch.
But not a thriller.
Yes absolutely fantastic documentary … the connection he made was unbelievable showing just how intelligent this mollusc is to survive in An underwater jungle

Just watching The fall of the house of Usher on Netflix - very entertaining watch, one episode to go. Bit gory at times, but a great story

It’s not on Netflix or Prime so sorry for not being helpful, but last night I watched a French film called Anatomy of a Fall, which was absolutely superb.

Lupin the French heist series is back on Netflix.

The Conference bizarre Swedish slasher movie, the hot tub scene is grizzly.

Bodies with Stephen Graham clever detective series set in past present and future, decent.

Find it amazing that some people haven't seen Band Of Brothers yet.
Then I got to thinking that I have never seen a complete episode of Only Fools and Horses, or Breaking Bad or The Simpsons.

Matthew McConaughey: I have a lot of respect for this man. Above all for his White House speech about gun control after the massacre in a school in his hometown.

As an actor, because he decided to start taking on more challenging roles for less money.

I know this thread is about series but his performance in "Dallas Buyers Club" is superb.

I have just binge watched all 4 series of sex education and I have got to say I really enjoyed it and was happy and sad at the same time with the ending.

Won’t be to everyone’s taste as there are a number of scenes/ storylines that may be uncomfortable but I found myself really buying in to the characters. Was initially put off by the title and only watched the first episode when I was bored and nothing else to do but really glad I did I got hooked straight away. A bit whimsical but a very evocative look at the sex life of 17 year olds today.

Criminal Record on Apple has a Slow Horses vibe about it.

Boy swallows universe - Netflix Aussie series set in the 80’s comitragedy about two brothers growing up in challenging circumstances.

True Detective this series has Jodie Foster as the lead detective set in the Artic well freaky.

We saw the ad for True Detective and decide to binge the first series with Woody Harleson and Matthew McConaughey and it was excellent.

Struggling with series 2 which has Colin Farrell, but 3 episodes in and it’s improving.

I would agree that the first one is superb, the second series gets better, third series was a bit of a struggle, this series starts off strongly. Only releasing them weekly though.

Last night I watched Society of the Snow, a remake of 'Alive'. It's about what is now referred to as 'the miracle of the Andes', the 16 survivors of the plane crash in 1982. They survived for over 70 days in freezing temperatures with no food. Absolutely incredible but harrowing, the stuff of your worst nightmares.

A brilliantly made film and would highly recommend it.

I enjoyed Three Pines on Prime. Alfred Molina as a detective in Quebec with a quirky whodunit feel, and with a continuous storyline in the background.
Initially thought it was a bit daft but ended up binging the series.
It's not been renewed for a 2nd series which is disappointing, seems the production companies couldn't agree on the way it should go.

I believe the main character Chief Inspector Armand Gamache played by Molina, is to Canadians what Poirot is to Belgians, with many books having been written.

I'd hardly seen any Only fools and horses until I started going on the supporters coaches to games years ago - I think I've seen them all multiple times now :D

Breaking Bad - unmissable TV imho, one of the best things I've ever seen

Shooter is a good show about an ex army sniper framed for assassinating the president. It’s like Reacher but much better.

Southland is the best show ever created.

Just watched 3 part true crime docu-series American Nightmare on Netflix. Solid 7/10

As always Molina was enough of a reason to watch Three Pines, shame it ended after the 1 series

Love/hate on ITVX. It's about a Dublin organised crime group. Took me a bit to get into it but I'm hooked now. The second series of Kin has just come out on the iPlayer as well.

if you have 'The Diplomat' it's well worth a watch, excellent
Excellent show, bit late to the party with this one but hate leaving series half finished so it had to wait. Glad to hear that a second series is out this year

Now I've watched that I'm looking at new recommendations, preferably on Netflix.

The Chelsea Detective. Adrian Scarborough very good as the lead. Standard detective tales but good twists and bounces along.
All the write-ups say Acorn Media but I found it on Prime.
