We need to keep with Kompany and his plan,.
The prem is getting harder every season and we are not getting a billionaire anytime soon , we may drop this season but will be stronger in the long run.
P.s. I have just read clive holts book and what dyche had to put up with makes him even better in my eyes but even he got plenty of stick on here!!
Didn’t look like there was any plan today and many games before that.

The hysteria isn’t because of the loss. It’s because of the way we are losing. We are getting smashed every week
Not really
Sheff Utd just got smashed
We’re just losing without looking like we’re going to fight for a win but we aren’t conceding a shed load of goals

And that's what they have to learn from; 2 - 1 isn't smashed, but we aren't good enough and that is obvious.

We came up too early, I think giving up on a top manager like ours manager after 10 games… you should be ashamed, I would put good money on the fact you’ll have never worked in a managerial position in your life.

Hero to zero in 1/4 of a season, pathetic fans
You’d lose your money, I’ve done it in sport as well, admittedly no where near the level and pressure that a football manager has.

Did we attempt to play passing football from the back with incapable players?

Yes.

That will take us down
Did we?

If we go down so be it, we’ll come back up again like we did under Dyche. Most newly promoted sides get relegated, just the reality, sorry you can’t handle it

Can I just say that I didn't start the OP

However, this prior six months has been the strangest period I've ever witnessed following Burnley for 30 years.

A textbook example of what not to do upon promotion.

I mean take today - Odebert and Ramsey out of the side (not that I think they should be in btw) thats what 25 million? Then we're short in defence/holding mid/striker.

It's properly mind boggling, everything about it. I'm in disbelief.

The signs were there from the Villa game, Spurs game confirmed it. Got pieced up badly and from there we just haven't learnt.

Feel next to no connection with the team after all that good work from last season just thrown out of the window. Completely disillusioned with it all

Kompany made his life so much harder in the summer. I admire the ambition but it was very naive to think that many young attacking players with no pl experience would translate to success quickly enough.

A few decent managers out there, right now we need someone that’s going to stop the goals going in our net. We might stand half a chance of staying up.

Conceding two a game and your a certain relegation team
We are a more than likely relegation side, that won’t change whoever we bring in I don’t think. We’ve invested loads in our project and we’d look a right set of morons unloading Kompany after that and what he just achieved.

I'm sorry but it isn't the time to throw the baby out with the bathwater just yet or for that matter anytime soon, not unless you want a real tailspin on your hands.

It'll cost a fortune to sack him and essentially we've banked everything on his extensive signings coming together

It doesn't look good for him. That was a horror show against another awful side.

The owners will stick with him, but I've just asked the lad for any good things Vinny has done as manager in the Prem.
The only thing we could think of was playing Foster up front.

He looks out of his depth I'm afraid.

Hopefully a cup win at Everton can rescue our season and get us going.

Exactly this, Dyche would’ve parked a huge pragmatic bus. Other, experienced managers would’ve settled for one point and if the moment was right, push for three. You can’t lose away to a relegation rival with such a pitiful display.

You can’t have an inexperienced manager, with an inexperienced squad. It’s a recipe for disaster, a disaster we’re being forced to watch and pay for the pleasure of doing so.

I disagree, we have talent in attacking areas but clearly VK can’t set up a team to not concede.

If we get a more pragmatic manager in, I think there’s a very good chance we get 34-36 points to stay up.

There is absolutely zero chance we do with this current set up.

The decision the owners need to make, is do we settle for relegation and hope VK gets us back up or do we make a change now to try and protect our premier league status.

The problem is that we simply don't have the players or experience if you bring in a manager who's good at organising a side and making us more solid.

We've basically got the wrong type of player, so we might as well stick with VK even though I think we'll now drop. At least we know he's good enough at Championship level.

There’s enough defensive ability in that squad to at least get a handful of clean sheets with the right manager.

refuse to believe we tried to play out from the back today, Trafford was kicking it long every time he got the ball. The second goal comes from Vitinhos poor pass at the half way line.

You say players not good enough but 3 of that back four wouldn’t be playing if we had everyone fit. If VK had his wish all 4 of them would be out of the side, the club didn’t get a left back.

We did park the bus second half? we didnt have a single attempt at goal or even a 2 minute spell in their half until they scored.

This is all down to set up.

Stupid decisions from VK before the game even kicked off. We knew the only out ball was going long. So he starts Amdouni the weakest forward in the league (not sure he won one ball all game).

We need to get back to absolute basics. Drop all flair players and just try keep clean sheets. Then build from there.

Funny, Tim Sherwood saying that Sheffield United probably came up too early and then didn’t sign the right type of players.

Ditto Burnley.

I think the difference is, we always looked like grinding a result out under Dyche against teams like Bournemouth, at least before his last season.

I'm really struggling to see where the next three points are coming from now.

Hopefully Vinny and the team will prove me wrong.

How many clean sheets did we get from SD in his last season here with far better players?

The season we went down we conceded a lot less than the bottom 5 we just didn’t win enough games, the issue now is we aren’t even making games close
There were only 8 teams in the league conceded less.

He needs to sort the defence out
He needs to explain why Trafford is undroppable

He needs to sort the soft underbelly we seemingly have
Can't sort the defence until Beyer & Ekdal are fit.
Don't care about the "Ekdal has no pace" nonsense, Ben Mee doesn't and was Brentford's player of the year last season in a more footballing side than under Dyche.
Ekdal's our best outright defending centre back, has been since he signed. Never had a game below 7/10, arguably 8/10. His passing is extremely effective through the lines, he's composed and confident on the ball, he's the biggest and strongest in the air. Beyer plays his best alongside him, Muric played his best behind him, it's not a coincidence, he might be slower but he's better at everything else than Al Dakhil or O'Shea.

VK didn’t select Ekdal even when available this season

I’ve no faith he will come back into the team

Ekdal didn’t even get selected when fit.

There’s no way in hell he starts when back fit. Beyer has played in 6 of the games this season and it’s made no difference at all. We have actually conceded more goals per game with him in the team

VK needs some experience in the coaching staff.
100 percent. Lots of young managers have little known but experienced eyes and ears alongside them - look at Arteta and Pep, they always have someone who can spot problems, offer solutions, challenge their ideas, make suggestions.

My fear is that VK doesn't have anyone doing that - and he needs help.
