It’s an old picture, a quick Google search of ‘Cabral medical’ brings up the photo. It’s from when he made a loan switch to Lazio

I have never heard of Cabral before but he looks highly rated and seems he would be a bit of a marquee signing in this league.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
The writing behind him is the logo for a private health clinic in Rome, are there any Italian sides in for him?

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I assume with not being linked to traditional centre forwards means that VK with his two players for each position policy, sees Jay and Ash as the player in the centre , with pacy forwards/ wingers being the type of player he is focusing on. Hence no Delap etc
Either way can’t wait for the next forward to sign.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
If Nixon was to be believed then we are still after a striker , a number 10 AND. a winger as attacking options.
So I’d say that maybe we do want to add to Jay and Barnes with the likes of Benson, the 10 and other winger behind him.
Interesting to see who comes in

Is Delap still at City, I haven't heard anymore about him joining Stoke, or anyone else for that matter.

Yes gone strangely quiet when it looked like he was on the verge of a loan move.
Maybe he is doing a sensible thing and using August to weigh up whether he should move (might have been promised some game time in cups etc) or if he wants to move wants to take his time to decide which one.

Looks like Anderlecht have personal terms agreed for Churlinov.
Odd one since they’ve not agreed a price. Really hope we are in for this chap.

Watford have signed Hamza Choudary on loan from Leicester - probably will go straight into their midfield given How poor they were on Monday.

I'm never comfortable signing a player who obviously is keeping his options so blatantly obviously open

Been rumoured Moyes likes Brownhill before and with the influx of defenders would be no surprise to see Taylor leave.

Tbh I wouldn’t be surprised to see both leave.
We look to be recruiting another CB that pushes Taylor to the bench.
If we sign another winger and a number ten I said the other day that I struggle to see where Brownhill starts.
Time will tell like always but right now I don’t think we should rule out anyone leaving

Of course you'd be surprised to see Brownhill leave, especially to a PL club
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Think we could cope with losing Taylor, but I see Brownhill as being integral to our promotion attempt, hopefully we’ll keep both!

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I think Kompany’s comments have made it pretty obvious that Brownhill will start practically every game.
He and Maatsen have been the two most consistent players so far. Hardly a surprise that Brownhill is very good at this level.

Delap was not in the squad against West Ham on Sunday.... probably doesn't quite make the first team squad this year, but as others said, it is awfully quiet about his near future.

Brownhill will be starting every game, I have no doubt about that, Kompany said he believes he will one of the best players in the league.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Brownhill, when signed, was already one of the best players in the league. 2 years of premier league football will have only aided his development - and physically he looks a monster now.

A different Portugease media outlet reporting we are trying to convince Cabral by offering 800k euros a year salary. That’s 15k euros a week, doesn’t seem that high to be honest.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Yep. And apart from his physical development, his game intelligence will have been sharpened hugely by 2 years of playing against better players - and again, it was always a real strength of his even before the Premier League effect). I'm sure he'll also have improved technically.dandeclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 2:27 pmBrownhill, when signed, was already one of the best players in the league. 2 years of premier league football will have only aided his development - and physically he looks a monster now.
He's also very, very quick over the ground (his pace is somewhat underrated). Put it all together any you've got a player than any manager with his salt would be desperate to have at their disposal in this league. No surprise Kompany has singled him out.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Sounds quite modest for a key signing-maybe some significant bonus is extra ie "if we gain promotion". Seem to recall Caluum O'Hare of Coventry would have recently quadrupled his salary had we signed him, with a figure at Burnley of £25k a weekRVclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 2:29 pmhttps://www.ojogo.pt/futebol/1a-liga/sp ... 83175.html

You just said you struggled to see where he'd start!
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I thought Brownhill would do well in the Championship but he's even surpassed my expectations, potentially in a different system he could do well in the PL. He wasn't very good in Dyche's 442 imo.
